Well after starting my healthy eating last Tuesday I weighed today and I have lost 3lbs, so I am really pleased. It has been a difficult week and I have been incredibly moody, but fortunately being off work has helped me refrain from snacking, and I have kept myself to myself when being particularly grumpy. I now feel the worst is done and I can carry on, with the am of losing another 4lbs at least before we go to WDW and then another 7lbs ( plus what I gain in WDW ) until we cruise. It actually feels achievable and I am really pleased. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Congrads on your weight loss:thumbsup2

Just checked the DCL website.

For those of you wondering what excursions are full already, here's a list:-

All Serenity Bay Cabanas
At least half of the Family Beach Cabanas are gone
12 metre regatta in St Maarten
Seaworld Explorer - Coral Reef Exploration in St Maarten

Thanks for this helpful information.

I know there is a prospect that I may get lynched here but ...

Thanks Sarah.

This is the most port intensive one we have done so far, not so much relaxing this time. 8 port days and only 2 sea days.... ouch !!

We are only doing one Disney excursion in Malta and doing the rest ourselves. We have been to Naples, Rome and Florence before, so we feel confident doing those ones ourselves.

We are going to be knackered

We have done a lot of research into each port and where to get trains etc, this one makes the WBTA seem positively horizontal :lmao:

The WBTA is a very horizontal cruise and will be great after your Med one!!!

It's ok hun, I know you were a wee bit distracted with everything going on at home.

At least we have High Tea organised, hopefully all the other ladies involved will get their reservations too :cool1:

Wow, the trees in our garden aren't established enough, but I think from memory you had lots of old trees in your garden. That would be lovely having a nest in the garden. It would drive Tod crazy, he chases all the birds in our garden :lmao:

Yes I am really hoping everyone will be able to get a reservation on the 13th for the Ladies High Tea. :wizard:

Well remembered. :) We have four huge trees in our front garden and several smaller ones in the back, we even took a few out a few years ago. We get lots of lovely wildlife in our garden, loads of cute bunnies at the moment & a few black squirrels, which are pretty rare. Bailey chases absolutely everything but she is only brave if it runs/flies away.....if it stays still then she stops & comes running back in. :rotfl2:

When I lost 5 stones a few years ago, I was just about 1/2 stone from my target weight when we went to WDW on holiday. I had been so focused losing all that weight I was heart broken thinking I was going to ruin it in 2 weeks and do some major damage.

:worship: Well done! That's amazing.

That's fab Sarah, keep at it! :goodvibes

I'm not listening........;)

Only joking, i'll miss our emails....but you won't as you'll be having a fabulous time!!!

With the doctor's thinking they had found he cause of my pancreatitis with my gallbladder, and taking it out, we all thought that would be the end of it, but apparently not. Just one of those things isn't it and lots and lots of people are so much worse than me? We are almost positive we will be on the cruise. I am always better on vacation for some reason!! I just need to live on vacation!!!:lmao:

Sending lots of Pixie Dust that you'll be fine. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

:worship: Thanks for that!

I've never done that before :) Stevie reads them all before we go anywhere, so I think i'll have a go at that when I get home :cool1:

You must! I will read it. :goodvibes I find them good fun to write, it helps a little with getting over the post holiday blues (not that you'll have them this time) and it's also nice to go back and read a year or two later. I love looking at my old one's on here from time to time.

[Burnice, is it just me or haven't I seen you on here for a long time? How are things down there?]

Hi Jacqueline, have been lurking in the background and enjoying reading all the comments.

Dad has finally changed his mind about hiring scooter or wheelchair whilst in the parks, his idea of fun is for me to be pushing him and Mum (sitting on his lap) around in a wheelchair, he reckons it will be the best way for me to loose weight and get fit. He loves the idea of the Mojitos & Mixology tasting's and then back to the Stateroom for an afternoon nap, looks like they are going to be a handful on the holiday.

He was telling me last night he was on the last convoy (WWII) to past the Straites of Gibraltor going home to England and somewhere in the house is the Plaque he received as a momento. Still learning about his life in the Forces after all this time.

Sorry to hear you are having health issues, wish I could do something to help you.:grouphug: PM me if you want to vent, happy to listen.

Burnice

Ah, there you are! Tell dad that he's a wise man. A wise man with a wicked sence of humor. I like him already. :lmao: If he gets to much simply threat to dump him into the Worlshowcase Lagoon or something. :rolleyes1 You will def. get your work out by pushing though! To give you an idea; my dad actually lost a couple of kilos on a 8-day trip to Portugal in 2004 when he had to push me around all day and that man loves his meals, cookies, chips etc. The pushing, distance and heat will be a workout like no other. Be prepared for some sore muscles. Thus; be as nice to yourself as to dad and mom, pack whatever you need to make this easier. I'm so curious about how your stay at BWV will be. I've always considered it but kept backing away after reading to many reports about lesser transporation experiences to MK, AK and DTD. I'm seriously considering a split stay with BWV and SSR or another resort for another future trip, which only makes me more curious. ;)

Thanks for the pm-offer, will remind it. Hopefully not needed but am starting to get a bit annoyed with the bureaucrazy. Leaves me worried about making this trip and if I do make it; how in earth are we going to turn this around enough so that I don't rain on others dining experiences during dinner? I've already considered asking for a seperate table because of that, but as far as I know DCL doesn't do that for a solo.

Anyway, thanks to all for the support! :)

Taryn flies to Orlando on 19th June ... expect a lot of weeping and wailing on here as I will be so anxious. First time she has left the country / flown without us.

Somehow I had the idea that it was earlier but you still got a couple of weeks left before she goes. It'll take time for all of you to get used to but eventually it's going to be great. More time with hubby, more time for yourself, an amazing excuse to hop to WDW :rolleyes1 and I'm sure you'll have many more special moments with Taryn. You guys sound way too close for that not to happen. I know for me and my mom those moments together are even more special since we no longer live together. Allthough after 3 weeks together at WDW we sometimes want to strangle eachother....... :rotfl2:

Hey,

For those non-dutch; nothing special, just splurting out my huge softspot for CBR as a resort and some of their amazing CM's.

Reminder to sign up for your free DIS Lanyard

f you would like a FREE custom lanyard and name badge for this cruise (a great way to meet new people, identify other DIS friends, and put faces and names with screen-names), then I need you to EMAIL ME YOUR INFORMATION!!

Here is the information that I need:
DISBoards screenname: I need the DISBoard name(s) spelled and capitalized the way you want it on your name badge. For many/most groups, there will probably be only one DIS name for a group of people---that is totally fine. If there ARE multiple different DIS names/users in a group, let me know all of them but ALSO be sure to link the correct DIS name with the correct person.
First Name: Please give us the first name of EVERYONE in your party who would like a lanyard the way you want it to appear on the name badge. (Please remember that spelling counts!! The name you give here is what your name badge will say....so make sure it's correct!) Also---and this is important---make sure that the FIRST name you send is the primary DIS user under the screenname you send!
Stateroom #: Why do I need your room #? To get your lanyard to you! I will try to give out all the lanyards in the port or at a meet onboard during embarkation...but if I miss you, I need your room # so that I can deliver them to you later. If you are GTY, that's fine, just say so. There will be plenty of time later to fill in room #'s or to make changes if people switch rooms.

So please put all the above information into an email and send it to this address: dcl.wbta.2011@gmail.com

(Please note, I will not necessarily be replying individually to every person confirming receipt of their request for lanyards....HOWEVER, once I get requests rolling in I will be putting them into a spreadsheet on our website that I will link through google docs and people can view (but NOT edit) so you can look for yourself there to make sure you are listed and that all your information is correct...and then email me with any changes obviously).

Brilliant Noel. Please say so to John from me, and a big thank you for all the hard work to both of you.

And now in English. We booked 8 nights after the cruise in CBR. We hasited between this and Port Orleans, because we wanted a moderat, because then we get the free dining plan with table service credits.

So now I have another post to make and then I have 10 and can I do the pm's to all the things we want to do on the cruise with the forummembers.

How can you see that? I must wait till june 27 and then can I reserve our excursion/port adventures. (first cruisers)
We only want a few, but I liked the 12 metre regatta. Well I see at the time what is possible.
Thanks for the information

I need some transfer help!

I need a way to get from the port to Orlando Airport the day we dock. I think our flight is about 1:30pm Any suggestions for a service that will not cost an arm and two legs, and will still get us there in a reasonable amount a time?

If we do car rental, is it far to the pick-up points?

2 adults, 2 children.

THANK YOU!
