Welcome along, we're a chatty bunch with plenty planned for this amazing cruise,

I've read a few WBTA cruise reports from last year and they have mentioned a murder/mystery type activity called Desperate Shipmates. Now this is just the kind of thing I love to do and I'm sure even more so with Disney doing it. Does anyone know if they will do this activity again this year?

I guess we'll know more about wether this will part of this years activities once the EBTA folks start posting trip reports.

Last years desperate shipmates was a lot of fun, and took place in 20 minute or so sessions over several days, they knew there were a lot of DISers on board and one of the cast played the role of an avid DISer who loved everything Disney,

I would say though even though I'm generally pretty good at solving murder mysteries, and have even written a couple myself, this was HARD. Although as it turned out it was as much about the entertainment along the way than the actual solving of the crime.

I'm joining the club too. I've lost 23 lbs so far, but have quite a few more to go. I want to look good on the cruise and I have an almost strapless bridesmaid's dress to fit into in November.

Congratulations! I've lost almost 40 pounds so far, and would also like to lose about 20 more before the cruise...we will see! Losing weight is a lot ow work!!

OMG been up since 5.15 am this morning booking palo and the spa with absolutely no trouble at all. Got everything I wanted with plentiful availability everyone.

There is palo brunch and high tea available for every sea day, all times available

Palo dinner also available at all times through to 8.30 pm

Vista spa there is lots of availability for getting our nails done girls

High Tea booked for 13th at 3 pm bring it on girls

Going back to bed now zzzzzzzz

I don't know about a webcam, but someone I know is on the cruise and they posted something on their Facebook page from Barcelona, so the ship made it there.

Well it's been a bit of a manic week at work, but after 5 days back online after my 10 day vacation I've finally caught up with the boards, what a chatty lot you all are. I promise not to got away till the cruise now.

Ditto! Just came back from 10 days visiting DD and had a crazy week at work. Trying to keep up with this group is no easy task , but it's lots of fun trying .

Not that I am rushing summer. This is only Memorial Day weekend. Everyone in the US, have a great one. I am hoping to hit the Jersey shore. Not to insane on Memorial Day weekend, but we will try. I flatly refuse to do yardwork. Weeds are the enemy.

Lots of luck with the Jersey shore on a holiday weekend! You're a brave woman . This is the first weekend we can safely plant outdoors, living in the mountains with frosty nights not unheard of in May. We picked up lots of flowers this week and will be spending tomorrow elbow-deep in dirt. I despise the prep and planting, but I love the results .

Sorry to hear about the pup. We haven't had a dog for many years but love them anyway. DD, who lives in a 1 bdr apt, would love a puppy or kitten but can't really take care of one, so she has two gerbils instead...they keep her company and satisfy that nurturing need, but to me they're just rodents ....ugh. But I get it; we have two birds' nests with babies in them (under our deck and in a birdhouse), and you'd think we were the parents, the way we talk to them!

On last year's EBTA, I tried to follow this but lost interest. Maybe I'll give it a second chance, since others seem to enjoy it. It is fun when you get phone calls in your cabin from the players, but I found it all very confusing.

I don't think we will know until we get onboard. Keep your eye on the navigators. It is fun and goes on during the 5 sea days.

I don't think there is a webcam of the port which is a shame. I seem to remember a few of us looking last year.

What is Taryn going to be doing at WDW? I had an opportunity to work in WDW when I was in college, but my Mother was way to overprotective and forbid me to go. It is my biggest regret in life, not being able to do that. I think it is why I am such a Disney freak, err, enthusiast, now. I would give up everything to work there now. Disney is about all I think of these days. The more I go, the more I want to go. I hope she knows how lucky she is to have this awesome opportunity. Color me jealous.

She leaves on 19th June .... she is very excited but also a little nervous as expected as it is her first big adventure on her own in life. I would have loved an opportunity like this at her age, I wasn't much older when I worked for Princess Cruises for 2 years just to satisfy my need for travel. I would have loved to work at Disney ... and still would if I am honest.

Well rather frustratingly the vet has not had the full lab results through so they have no further information than what we already know. So it's now a waiting game, if we haven't heard by Thursday then we have to call to chase it up. On the plus side Stamy was a very good boy & just sat there whilst they pulled all his stitches out, even though some of them pulled some scabs off too!

We didn't do this last time but definitely will do it if it is offered again as everyone seemed to enjoy it. Tony is a bit of an Agatha Christie fan so hopefully it will be right up his street. Can't think why we missed it last time actually.

Nope, the cruise holiday is all approved. I would have been going on my own if it wasn't.


We've got a birds nest in our garden at the moment, although we can't see the babies we can certainly hear them....they are so loud!
