Must admit Im getting a little concerned that we wont get a reservation at Palo for our anniversary, because its our first cruise we may not get into Palos because we have to wait to book . Is this likely?
We also booked Hawaii this morning.
A couple can often get in on the day they prefer if they wait list, too. Just talk to the Host in advance, or go to the booking table when you board, if you get shut out on line.
Sounds like a great cruise Sue. Really pleased your dress fits too, you are having better luck than I am ..... or maybe you just accept what size you really areI just won another one .... getting a bit addictive now and I still need formal and semi formal.
I would like to loose 20 pounds, but until I get in the head to actually do it, I am just accepting the size I am. For the $20.00 I won the dress for, if I only wear it 2 -3 times that is OK.
ALOHA. Booked next years cruise. Can you tell we love long cruises
See ya aboard Lynne. Mission accomplished!!
Now to address the weight......Jenny Craig time
John and I would love to do Hawaii but we choose to do the MV of the Fantasy and timing could not work with April 29 voyage to Hawaii.
That being said, if any single women needs a roomie, I would be interested!!
thats a fantastic idea noel, a trip for us ladies, im sure there is a song..................
all the single ladies, all the single ladies, but your handsup

I worried about the same thing on our first cruise, but had no problem getting a ressie. We also booked a brunch when we got on board without any problem and that was only a 10 night cruise. You can also call Palo's on the day and see if they've had any cancellations .. it happens.
We certainly preferred brunch to dinner, I really didn't like what I ordered for dinner! I should really have just sent it back! Better luck this time.

Hi All
Today I purchased my 'backup' Fish Extender gifts,
While I plan to make gifts i'm such a perfectionist I rarely end up liking what I make, so if I have some backup gifts I can always bring those along....
Then again I might just bring them along even if my handmade gifts are successful, space allowing LOL

We preferred brunch too food-wise , but I enjoyed the romantic ambience for dinner. What did you order that you didn't enjoy ??
Well they certainly were brilliant last year ... I look at your handmade gift every day and it reminds me of a wonderful cruise![]()
Last yearn the WBTA I got a Palo's dinner reservation before we cruised, but couldn't get a brunch reservation, but easily got a brunch once we
Boarded.
Only problem was our dinner was on the day 10 and our brunch was for day 9 (so I bit close together) however about halfway through the cruise we called palos around lunchtime and they had availability for that days brunch, so we quickly got changed and headed up for lunch!

I ordered the veal special, the server told us all about it and it sound delicious, however
(how can I put this????)
The presentation left a little to desired, I wish i'd taken a photo as it was one of the least appetising looking plates of food i've ever seen, and I eat out quite a bit!!!
And MAN was it SALTY!!!!! I kept expecting to find the salt grinder hidden in it!!!! The funny thing is that if i'd gone to a normal restaurant and they'd had brought me that i'd have sent it straight back, however I was clearly in holiday mode as I just let it slide!

I know which one!!!Can you say "ALOHA!"?
Hi everybody!
I thought I'd say hello because I'm seriously considering booking a cabin for myself for this trip if the price comes down like the may trip did. I'm graduating from college this semester, finishing student teaching and might just become addicted to cruising after I go on NCL in may... I'm a huge disney fanatic (hopefully i'll be working in WDW within the year) and can't imagine a better experience than going to on my first DCL Europe to FL transatlantic trip! I'd be doing this on my own as a solo travel. I've read some of the solo traveler experiences, but there doesn't seem to be many 22 year old males reviewing their solo experience... can't help enjoying the inner child! Thoughts? Is this something I would be welcomed into? This forum seems to be really nice, i have to say! Any advice?
Have 3 bites of real cheese cake and take the rest home! At 3 bites a day, it will last about a week! I am master of that - the neighborhood ladies went to lunch - we ordered 1 piece of pie and 9 forks. There was pie left at the end, but everybody had a sweet satisfying bite!
Too funny!! We eat salads almost every night!!
When my John was young, he used to think tomatoes had "sticks" and would not eat them!!
Well, after all the anticipation, I didn't even get to eat at Cheesecake Factory in Boston... after a 5 hr. trip, my co-worker didn't want to drive another 15 min. in rush hr. traffic, so we settled on a Cracker Barrel next to our hotel. And I sooo had my sights on a piece of low-carb
cheesecake. As for calories, you know the restaurant is not figure-friendly when they advertise their "weight management" menu items as less than 590 calories
apiece (per their website).
I agree not a diet friendly place. How was the Cracker Barrel?
My Larry won't eat raw tomatoes (he has no idea why, really), but he loves stewed tomatoes, tomato sauces and soup, and salsa (he'll even eat fresh salsas/pico de gallo, but it took him years to adapt to that). And he's a very open, adventurous eater. Go figure
.
All this yummy talk....it's becoming a food porn forum!![]()
Maybe he thinks the have "sticks: as well!1
