Same, here! We were hoping to do Med next year. :confused3 While Hawaii would be great, we spent a few weeks there a couple years ago and know it would be a tease just spending a day in each port. But ten sea days (roughly)... ahhh...

We have booked previously with the agency that posted that information. Very reputable, and here in the DFW area. I pass it when in Southlake. I first learned about the itineraries when I received their Facebook message and about fell out of my chair! :rotfl2:

Lynne---are we going to Hawaii

Yes, and we need to book as soon as we are allowed - I want my price as close to $1800 as I can get - with nearly 60% mark-up for solo, it'll be about $2700 if we can get in the first tier.

Read somewhere that Gold CC get to book early with Platinum - going to check that out.

Would love to do Alaska out of Seattle with the stop in Victoria, but Fantasy M/V March 31, LA-HI-LA April 29 and Fantasy again May 19, I think I will need to come home at some point. (That's 29 nights - oh well, the B2B EBTA + Med was 25) And summer cruises have always been out of my price range.

Aloha!

those itineraries sound awesome! i'm not surprised at all though that they're not coming to europe next year though.

man, DCL is going to be p*ssed at that leak!

Well I for one am gutted that the Eastern Med isn't an option for 2012 with DCL , but saying that I might be tempted with the New York and Canada itineraries or the West Coast plus Alaska. Still thinking about a Celebrity cruise with an overnight in Venice aswell. Lots to think about :confused3:confused3:confused3

I am also gutted that we have no European cruises to consider.

Oh well looks like 2 weeks onsite with free dining for our 25th Anniversary next year.

Hi everyone!

Well, DH is having spine surgery on Thursday. Fortunately, it's not as invasive as we feared and he should be fully recovered in 10 to 12 weeks. Fingers crossed that it goes well.

To those recently joining, I am Karen and I am crusing with my (soon to be 13) year old son (Andrew). It will be our 3rd cruise on DCL (and 5th cruise overall) and definitely the longest (all the others have been 7 days)! Andrew and I will be visiting DLP before the cruise and are flying to Barcelona the day before the cruise (where I'm still hoping to see the Sagrada de Familia). We're hoping that DH will be able to join us for the Paris part of our trip...but we won't know that for a bit.

I can't remember who posted the banofee pie but....YUM! It looked delicious. I'm presently trying hard to avoid desserts and other high calorie items as I need to lose much more than a "stone" (but would be happy with any weight loss at all!). BTW, I started the Couch to 5K program today and have high hopes.

Take care all. I'll try to keep up the next week or so, but.....

Karen

All the best to your husband for his op and a speedy recovery.

wow would love to sail from new york, but would also like to do the hawaii one as well, there are too many choices, but john says see if we like this one first lol, but its looks like we made the right decision to do the transatlantic cruise this year,

I guess we'll have to do the TA this year, then! I promised Dennis we'd do Alaska next year as his landmark birthday treat. Kind of bummed that there won't be a TA or any European cruises, though. I was going to try to talk him into trading Alaska for Europe. And the TA is such a great value.

Debra, Peggy, and Lynne - How are you this morning after that wild weather last night? We were up at 2am watching the Weather Channel and not sleeping through the storm. Doesn't really bother me that much, between growing up in Florida with hurricanes and 10 years in the midwest with tornadoes, but Dennis and the dogs were a bit nervous. We've got a few tree limbs down in the backyard, and a large one in the middle of the street from our neighbor's tree. The power is out in a few places, and ours went out sometime early this morning, but it's on now - for us, anyway. Hope you fared as well!

Okay, off to work now!

I woke up this morning around 4:00 am to shut the windows in our bedroom. The rain was really coming down hard but the wind was unreal. It sounded like it was going to blow every screen off our windows! :scared1: Not too much damage that I could see. A few trees were blown down but other than that, I didn't see much else. Heard a tree fell on a trailer but no one got hurt. The rain had pretty much stopped by the time I came to work at 7:30 am. Whew! The wind was something else but thankful it didn't amount to much else! We never did have our power go out.

Thanks for asking Pat! I imagine this was nothing for you if you lived in hurricane/tornado territories! :)

Good Morning, Pat! We survived the storms just fine. They came through about 11PM, lots of wind & hail, :scared1: and about 2 1/2 inches of rain! I had pets and an adult daughter jump into bed with me....quite a sight. :lmao::lmao: Hopefully, all of that rain & wind will have knocked some of the pollen down - it's been so thick lately! Glad you are okay! (I'm like you - this weather doesn't really bother me much having grown up near New Orleans.)

I am actually very sad that there won't be any European cruises next year. :sad1: We were planning to take our entire family next summer... Maybe Hawaii instead!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! :goodvibes

Would love to do the Hawaii cruise! :cloud9: I've always wanted to go! It would be a good way to see all the little islands that normally I wouldn't go to, but I still would love to go without cruising. That is the only way to get a real feel of the islands and see so much more! I guess cruising would be a good way to whet your appetite, so you can go back for an extended stay! :cool1:

Do you think Disney is taking the Med. cruises off the roster because they were losing money or just making changes to attract more people?

i hope they offer the hawaii cruise more that just the april date as its to early for us to do it then, susie

Well my first Ebay dress has arrived and it is very nice but there is about an inch gap at the zip where it won't fasten up... an incentive to lose some weight I think. ( either that or buy bigger size dresses :sad2::sad2: ) I am going to try really hard now and that dress WILL fit me by the time we cruise.

I know what you mean!! I have developed osteoarthritis in my hips which is making it much harder to exercise and loose more weight!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your husband :wizard:

I started the "Couch to 5K" app yesterday ... we'll see... if I could lose this baby weight it may put me in the mood for dress shopping!! :thumbsup2

The Couch to 5K program is an interval (walking, jogging, running) program that I'm doing on my treadmill with an iPod app.

Karen

I am starting on the C25K program as well. I started on it last year before our cruise but sadly didn't keep it up when I got home. This time it's all the way, baby :thumbsup2 Did you guys know that they do a 5K run on Castaway Cay .. that's what I'm training for.

Karen which app are you using .. I got the Get Running app, and love it because I can choose my own music.

Sarah and Susie; That's the way to go .. the power of positive thinking :thumbsup2

Lynne Thanks for posting about the new DCL sailings. I want to do the Hawaii itinerary sooooo bad, but would also love to do the New York itinerary heading north. So many choices .. so little money

Hi All

My DH Tony and myself, Jane have recently signed up for this cruise, thanks to our good friends Mary (Todd&Copper) and StevieKay (not that we needed much persuading :)) This will be our fourth Disney Cruise but our first cruise without the kids :yay:
After taking most of the afternoon to catch up on this thread I can see that you are all a chatty bunch and look forward to joining in the chat before meeting you all in September. :grouphug:
Better go and update my ticker now :dance3:

Jane

Welcome Tony and Jane
;) so much to keep up with, I am amazed at how much chat there's been in the last few days ( since I've been able to get online ) so a little late... but welcome look forward to meeting you both in september
