Glad your world is back to normal because the whole IASW Shining thing was freakin' me out a bit.
That recipe looks great! Perfect kid food (and for those of us with a permanent sweet tooth)!
Thanks! It turned out really well -- those muffins disappeared pretty quick!
I noticed on
Amazon that Kingdom Keepers IV come out on April 5th. This time the action involves Downtown Disney. All kidding aside they are fun books to read. I enjoy that I can picture ever place the action happens. It adds to the story. I am half way through book II and have book III ready when I finish. They have been fun reads, while snowed in.
Yeay! I am so excited it is coming out before Easter -- someone will be getting a copy in their Easter basket!
I agree with everyone that has seen the Clown/doll commercial once was enough.
I thought it was hysterical!
What she said !!!! Yes, read them. I was able to get all 3 of them at the library.
I heard there was a 4th. Did it come out ?
Micandminforever says April 5th!
Too funny! I offered to show it to Charles and he said, "No thanks! Some things are just not meant to be." Apparently he is not a fan of clowns either.
I guess if the area they are getting food from can't leave due to the same weather, you won't be able to get your deliveries. I hope at some point the can just excuse some days.
Me too! I am hoping they take the February days and a teacher workday in March instead of messing with the end of the school year.
Okay, I will read the books. I'll at least add them to my ever growing list.
You'll like them! So would your girls and probably your DH!
Now that clown commercial - I swear, I don't have a big fear of clowns. The thing about that commercial is that they use that creepy murder Psycho type music and all that. It makes it seem even creepier! It's all in the context for me. Sad thing is, it's a commercial for the POSTAL SERVICE!! My DH is a mailman, so we had a good chuckle. That mailman has a great reaction to the clown! I can't imagine DH doing that ad! Of course, he doesn't wear a uniform, or walk his route, so it's a bit different. But he does visit with some of the customers on his route.
Okay, that was probably more information than you needed.
Carry on.
Love the story! I just thought it was a funny commercial. I laughed over the whole, "It's got to go."
I'm in the group that has never liked clowns, not funny to me. I vever like circuses when I was a child, nor do Icare much for them now. I do get a kick out of that Priority Mail ad, very imaginative.
Yes, I agree the commercial is very clever.
I'm getting a Kindle soon, it's in the pipeline, so may have to order those KK books. I loved the Harry Potter books, great stories.
I keep thinking about a Kindle, but since I get most of my books from the library, I don't know if it would be cost effective.
I'm going to increase my stay by a couple more days. Four days & 5 nights are just not enough!
I always feel like we need more time at Disney.
I hope that the missing school days will not mess up your trip to Disney. Here the schools have run out of snow days, the outgoing governor changed it to 3 days from 5. The new one wants to change it back.
I am hoping we are done with snow for the winter. In fact, if spring wanted to start today I would be okay with that. LOL!
Love the Kingdom Keeper books! I've read all 3 and looking forward to the 4th one coming out in April. I've heard there's also going to be one on a cruise. I've even read the first 2 to Hannah as bedtime stories and currently reading the 3rd one to her. She really likes these books and when we were at AK and saw DeVine she said "Mommy! That's just like Charlene!" Made me proud! LOL If they don't scare an 8 year old then all you adults should be fine!
It's fun to see the things at the parks that they experience in the books.
Peter and the Starcatcher books were excellent, too, and I've recently finished the Neverland Books that are about what James and the other boys do on the island while Peter is away. They're very quick reads. Hannah has read the first one and is slowly reading the second one.
I haven't read those yet -- I need to find them!
No school for us all week either, and, they're out on Monday for MLK day. They were supposed to have a make-up day today but that got canceled as well. Not sure when they'll do a make up day for the make up day! LOL The sun is shining brightly here today and I can finally see more grass than snow in the front yard.
It's been a crazy week! My dad pointed out that in the last month, we have only had kids four day! That's craziness!
Glad you are thawing out. I was starting to go nuts being home just Mon and Tues. Just walking around today there are still a few very icy patches on our sidewalks, where the sun does not shine.
I think my kids were pretty stir crazy by the end of it all!
Ha ha, you know I was just having a conversation with my mom the other day about having a survival kit. Apparently, I feel that all the survival items I need in my car are a pair of grey boots and a scraper. Don't think that's going to cut it.
Nutella would most definitely be in my survival kit as well. Can't live without it.

All I have in the car is an ice scraper -- I don't even have the boots.
I added two more days onto my trip, I was able to still get the free dining added for those days.
Hurray! That's awesome!
