We're taking our second trip to the World next week - we took DD then 3.5 last March, now joined by DD 9m....we hardly ran out of things to do last time nor do we expect to this time but DD 4.5 is a huge animal fan and I'm guessing she'd LOVE SeaWorld.....but the tix price (nearly $150!) stuns me on top of, you know, the rest of it.

Yay or nay?

If your family has never experienced Sea World, I would definitely do it. It's a much different experience (and pace!) than Disney. And as long as you're dropping extra $$$ anyway, drop a few more $$ and sign up for the Dine with Shamu buffet. We did that in San Diego when the kids were small and it was very cool to have the killer whales "drop by" your table.

Enjoy!

Currently there is a promotion in which you can purchase 1 day and have your ticket validated so you can come back anytime within 7 days of your ticket's use and not have to pay additional entrance fee.

There are also funcards that cost about the same as 1 day admissions, but include unlimited entry to SeaWorld until the end of this year.

Be sure to check out all of the ticket options. (e-tickets are available for print immediately after making payment and there is no need to pay shipping costs!)
We are going to Sea World in 2 weeks... I purchased my tickets through Seaworld's website. We love all of the shows and exhibits there, plus I hear there is an new entertainment show in the evenings....

Hope you have a wonderful trip.

In my opinion... I was not happy with Sea WOrld. It has been over 15 years since the last time I went there. We went in October 05 again. I just wanted to leave. It was 'boring' to me. ANd I love aquariums. Maybe because it was so hot? Maybe it was because I wasn't in DW? I just wanted to leave. :confused3

I've been to Sea World quite a few times, and we love it. We went last year and my sons were 3 and 1. My three year old loved it. There aren't a lot of rides, but it's a very engaging park. He loved feeding the dolphins and petting the sting rays. I would say DO IT!!

We loved it! We went last July (hot and crowded) and I was worried about their not being alot of rides and that my kids would get bored but we really loved it!

Yaaaaay for Sea World.
I LOVE Sea World. It's such a great place for kids! They love all the shows and the animals and it really gets them into learning about these animals which is SO important since Sea World is home to what are, sadly, many endangered species. :(

It's different, it's refreshing, it's a new environment, it's GOOD FAMILY FUN since there's very little that small children cannot take part in (other than Atlantis and Kraken - they can even "walk" to the Wild Arctic!). Even on the busiest days it never seems to be as full of people pushing and shoving as other parks.

Go for it! :thumbsup2

The other benefit of adding SW IMHO is that it makes for a great break from the longer walks in the other parks. Because most of it is interactive and about the shows - you're sitting down more, walking and standing in line much less.

We visted the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had to leave at 4 (had prior reservations) and we really didn't want to leave. My whole family can't wait to go back! We plan to spend (at least) the whole day there when we go back. It's a very nice park and it has quite alot to see and do there.

We absolutely loved sea world so I will say yay. We had ages 13, 11, and 2 with us and we all had a blast. We didn't even get to do all we wanted to so we will be scheduling 2 days on our trip this year.

Our 7 year old wants to go to Sea World this year after a visit last year-he mentions that even more than Disney--I wish they would have never closed the park in Ohio.

Here's another vote in favor of SeaWorld. Our daughters (6 and 2) love the place. From an adult's point of view, I like it because it's not as "plastic" as Disney/Universal. Don't get me wrong -- if I could only choose one park to be able to visit for the rest of my life, it would be MK. But SW is a nice respite from the barrage of characters and princesses, and the Shamu show is indeed breathtaking (especially if you sit up front -- that water's cold!)

We just went to Seaworld last month for our first time and we will definately be back. It's a great park and they have free beer in the hospitality section!!!

Its my personal favorite park down there. You can interact with the animals and all the shows are excellent. I go in Sept. usually so its only open til 7 when we go and I run out of time everytime. Plus they do have a couple of really good rides. I don't know how many people have seen the pet show but I watched it for the first time this past year and it was very entertaining. Make a plan when you get there though if you want to see alot of the shows because many of them overlap so its difficult to see everything.

We went there in February, I was so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it is, it is such a nice park to walk around and admire....
My girls loved it, we bought the funpass, that give admission for a year as we are going back in August, and planning to spend 2 days there.

Another :thumbsup2 from me for sea world. In December we did a week DW a week US and one day Seaworld my kids favorite day of all was Seaworld. My kids were 3 and 5 they loved it and talk of it all the time. Where else do you get to feed dophins, stingrays and sea lions. Also we took the 6 hour tour and we got to pet a penguin- loved it. Also the Kraken in a thrill ride like non you will get at WDW. We are going again in October of this year. I bought one day using the 'pepsi' code and got 20% off and can visit the park for up to seven days. Good luck with your planning
