SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

Since you're going to walk right past the kiosks on Discovery Island on your way in the park, I'd take the 2 minutes to look quickly and see what was available for SDFP, especially since you've done it before. If there's a kiosk anywhere near Everest, I'm not aware of it. So I think you'd do a lot of backtracking, plus I think the time you'd take to look for SDFP would have far less of an effect on the line at Everest at that point (this might be different if you were talking right at ropedrop vs 15 minute later). But I think the time it would take you to walk to Everest, wait in line, ride, and then get back to a kiosk would have a major effect on what availability remained, especially if you're looking for earlier in the day.

Thank you! I think you helped me two years ago, too. I remember that cute photo in your signature. I will take your advice.

Thank you for all this information! I read almost the whole thread! Question though- I have 2 MDE with 2 different email addresses. I have room and tickets and FP+ on one and a set of bands on the other that aren't linked to any room or tickets.

I called today to make room location requests for our resort. The CM asked if my email was ***@aol.com which is the email with no room or tickets on it. I corrected her and gave her my correct email address with the MDE with the tickets and room so she changed it on my reservation to that. The room was always on the MDE with the tickets so don't know why my other email address was on their end.

How can I tell if she accidentally linked the two accounts? I told her I have 2 separate MDE accounts and she said she can't even get into that.

Is there a way to tell if she linked everything together? I don't think she did but want to make sure.

Thank you!

The best way I'd know to try would be to look under your main account under My Magic Bands and Cards and see if you MB's you think are on the other account are now listed under the appropriate people in the main account. If so, they're now clones. Also, make sure you can log into both. One of my son's had 2 accounts (by mistake - changed his email and somehow created a new account) and once they combined them, he could no longer log into the old account at all.

I managed to find 3 used up PH/cards on ebay, I went on and bought them because I wasn't sure how long they would be there. They are green, have a character, green Mickey balloons in the background, Walt Disney World at the bottom and has what looks like the MB touch point Mickey head in a circle-that's what I need for SDFP correct?

Sorry for asking I just wanted to be sure I was getting it right. They were $2.49 each with free shipping. I only needed 1 for DS since DH and I already had rogue bands, but I figured the cards may be easier and they were cheaper than buying a new MB.

You were lucky to snag them! They're perfect for SDFP. When they arrive, you could attempt to link them to phantom profiles - just be sure you don't accidentally link them to your real profiles or they'll be useless clones!

Oh good, glad I got the right ones! I was on ebay looking for Disney shirts and thought about this thread and those popped up so thank you for the suggestion to look there. Bad thing is, I had some cards that had 1 day tickets on them , but last year we used them and I threw them out and here I am paying for them:sad2:! I have a separate MDE account and I'll try linking them over there to avoid confusion. I'm kinda glad we ended up with the cards-easier to carry than the extra MB's.

Thank you, I love this thread and your sense of humor

After reading the FAQs and the rest of the thread, I'm 99% sure the answer is "no", but I want to confirm that an expired ticket cannot be a clone of an expired ticket. Like @Mom2Stitch I also bought several expired ticket cards on Ebay (the seller madnnola has had several recent postings, guessing that's where she got hers as well). If all of those expired cards were originally linked to the same person in MDE, will I have an issue trying use multiple cards at the same time to make SDFP? For instance, if all 3 cards were registered to "Bill" in MDE, will the kiosk say "Bill" has no more FP+ selections available after I book 3 on a single card?

Each MDE account can only book 3 SDFPs despite the number of cards or MBs linked to the account. So Bill can only book 3 on one card since the other 2 are clones. Hope this helps!

That is also who I got them from. And I guess I didn't think about them already being linked or the fact that they may be clones of another card that someone else might buy. If all of the cards are linked to 1 person will it be an issue? I don't need them linked in MDE and I knew before buying them that they may already be linked. Going back to read page 1....

It seems very unlikely that they were all linked to one profile. More likely they were never linked at all. Definitely try to link those cards to a set of phantoms on your separate MDE.

It's true that if all cards were linked to one profile, you could only get one set of SDFP with those cards. The seller had quite a few. Any individual going that much would have an AP. Any money you are good to go. So say I, Daavy Jones.

The two I received already are definitely linked to someone in MDE, as it wouldn't let me add them. I'm still waiting for the third to arrive. But I agree that it seems more likely that the seller is collecting expired cards from others to sell. I guess I won't know definitively until I get to a kiosk, right? Worst case scenario, I end up having to buy a couple of new magic bands. C'est la vie.

Just out of curiosity when are you going? Don't wanna have to race you to the kiosk for FPs :p.

Thanks I will try, hopefully they aren't and we'll be set. If we can't use them I'll be like @mel2014 and be buying a MB at the park.

If Mel couldn't link the cards, you probs won't be able to link yours. (Same seller, right?) But that doesn't mean you won't be able to use each one for its own set of SDFP. You'll just have to rely on a photo of the kiosk to remember your SDFP times since you won't be able to view them on an MDE.

We'll be there from April 21 to April 30, so have no fear of kiosk races :). I'll try to report back on whether they're all linked to the same MDE.

That would be awesome and appreciated! Glad to hear I won't have to be racing-I'm old-er and way slow. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Yes same seller and I'll just snap a pic, no biggie. Thank you so much for your help :)

I talked with madnola on eBay about the cards before you both purchased them - at least 3 of the 4 cards were used by the same person is what I was told. I posted a question about it a few pages back. And yes, the eBay seller thought I was a little nuts about asking who used the cards. So I'm assuming at least 3 are clones...

I want to share a couple of tidbits.
Used rogue bands successfully from April 2nd to April 6th.
The kiosk in MK city hall still works before official rope drop time.
For a standard 9am opening, people are let in about an hour early to wander around the shops and part of the spoke.
For a standard 8am opening (NOT am emh), they only let us in about 10 minutes early to wander around.
