I know my kids have taken scooters to HH to ride on the paths and that was allowed. Are they allowed on the paths at OKW? They would use them to get back and forth to the HH and the nearest pool. Thanks,

Lisa

I just got back from OKW and IIRC scooters were not allowed. Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

What are IIRC Scooters? The kind my kids have are the good old fashioned foot powered ones. Since bikes are allowed, these don't seem that much different then bikes.

IIRC is an internet/bulletin board acronym for If I Recall Correctly.

Best wishes -

From Keynotes- the OKW Directory of Services:

In-Line Skating and Scooters

"Florida law does not permit in-line skating or scooters on roadways or parking lots. Please see a Resort Recreation Cast Member for information concerning in-line skating and scooters, as well as appropriate locations."

While I have never asked, I'd think that skates and scooters could be used on the pathway to DD. It is paved. It starts behind building 55- so riders would need to walk or bus to that area before using their equipment. I'd sure check with a CM before allowing them to use the scooter- the roadways in the resort are fairly busy with autos and buses ... and not all drivers are particularly careful.
