Are there ECV accessible taxi vans that service the WDW resorts? If so, what do I need to do to make arrangements when I want one?
Before this year I never thought I'd need to make use of this forum, but, unfortunately, my husband will need an ECV for all of our trips due to multiple health issues.
This board has provided wonderful information and resources. I am amazed by the strength, resourcefulness, creativity, and good humor of the people who post here.

Last time I discussed this with Mears, which runs both Yellow Cab and Checker Cab they had 21 accessible cabs. They do suggest making reservations (407-422-2222) and cost the same as regular cabs.

That said, you have two other choices, one is to use Disney Transportation (all buses are equipped for at least two wheelchairs or ECVs) or use a regular taxi and have the driver disassemble the ECV and load it in the trunk and then reassemble it on arrival. (When traveling with my ECV if I use a taxi I will boost the tip a bit for that assistance.)

Thanks, Cheshire..very helpful information! -
