What are your recommendations? Should we make an ADR for Sci-Fi Diner or 50's Prime Time Cafe? We only have one day left to make an ADR for and are comtemplating which one to do. We have never been to either and we have a 4 year old. Thanks for your help!

I have only been to the Sci-Fi Diner, which had a fantastic atmosphere. The food was okay, but I think a 4 year old would love getting to sit in a little classic car and watching old movies. Also you really feel like you are sitting outside at a drive in complete with the stars above your head. Have a great time!

I vote for Prime Time. We eat there EVERY trip, and they have awesome food. There's also a tv by the table to watch old tv shows, and the waitstaff is great with little ones. Heck, they're great with everyone! They also have the best PB&J shake!

I vote 50's prime time, i like both but I think the overall experience and food is better at prime time.

I think the food is better at 50's but the atmosphere is better at Sci Fi. Also remember that only 2 people can sit in a seat together at Sci Fi so if there are 3 of you, one of you will be sitting alone on a seat while the other sits with your toddler.

First off, I think that they are both great and should be experienced at one time or another. But consider this, in addition to the seating arrangements mentioned by a previous poster, the scifi will be dark and as funny and campy us adults find the old "B" sci fi movies some younger children may afraid of giant killer tomatoes or 50 ft woman. It may be a non issue though with your child. If you do go, avoid a car in the front rows, as you will have to crane your neck to watch the movie clips.

Having said that, 50's is definately more light hearted and your 4 year old may find it funny to hear his/her mom or dad being yelled at for not finishing their vegatables or having their elbows on the table. There are also tv,s near each table showing clips of 50's tv shows, mostly comedys I think. For most older adults though it is very nostalgic themeing. So, my vote would be there but definately do sci fi someday!

We like 50's PT better! Yes, I also agree that the atmosphere at the Sci Fi is terrific, we did not like the food at all. We only dined there once, so maybe it was just off, but we did not enjoy it.

We have dined at 50's PT many times, and like the atmosphere there as well. The servers are usually fun as well. We have always had good comfort food, nothing outstanding, but it was very good for the type of food they serve there. The fried chicken is my favorite.
