Sci-Fi Diner new Menu?

Oh. My. Gosh. I see the cheesecake with caramel popcorn and M&Ms is gone. I know it was kinda simple, but one of my favorite desserts in the parks:sad1: Well hopefully the red velvet cheesecake will be a good substitute, I'll get a chance to try it in Jan.

So I have to come here to see the new menu as the online disney site still have the old menus....I purposely choose lunch because I didn't like the dinner choices, so I see the lunch and dinner now have the same menu?? I think I may change to dinner. I choose a 3:50PM lunch originally. Dinner starts at 4:00PM.

I was there a week ago and almost threw up in my mouth reading the description for the Picnic Burger. If someone had ordered it around me, I might have had to leave.

We ate at Sci Fi on Thursday night for dinner and we all enjoyed it. My oldest daughter ordered the red velvet cheesecake and she loved it. It comes with raspberry sauce and she asked them to leave it off and they did.

They also have sweet potato fries now in addition to regular fries and the cucumber salad. I ordered them with my reuben and thought they were very tasty.

Based upon reviews here, I was a little worried that we wouldn't have a good dinner at Sci Fi but I can honestly say we all enjoyed our dinners. I had the reuben, my husband had the double bacon angus burger, my oldest daughter had the shrimp pasta (she loved it) and my youngest daughter had the macaroni and beef with fruit salad and ice cream for dessert. The sandwiches are huge.

This is a great addition. I don't like regular fries, but love sweet potato fries. We'll definitely have lunch at Sci-fi on our next trip. The mushroom, swiss burger is great, & I'm not really a burger person.

I don't understand. If you're trying to put down the description of the Picnic Burger, why mention throwing up in your mouth? Kinda shot yourself in the foot with that one. Go Wolverines! :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting. We were debating between 50's PTC and Sci-fi, but the girls wanted Sci-fi for the ribs. Just changed those ressies.

I just tried to check-out the new menu again, but Disney took it off of their site...hmmm? DH & I had such a fun meal here last November. I'm bummed the black & blue salad is gone, but the reuben & "adult" shakes were pretty good.

It's strange that the Disney World website had the new menu up for a while but now it's back to the old one. Has anyone been there recently who can confirm which menu they're using?

I had to join this thread because I ate at Sci-Fi this past Tuesday and I had the picnic burger and it was delicious! From the description I thought it would be a burger with some sliced "round" pieces of hot dog on it, but it actually had two hot dogs sliced length way on it. I about died when I saw it because the ends of the hot dogs were sticking way out of the bun. I was with my son and we both laughed and I said I didn't know how I was going to eat it as I'm more on the small side and try to watch my diet. I gave my son who of the four hot dog pieces. The hot dogs were really good - grilled perfectly. I didn't taste the sauerkraut, but could taste the mustard. I did not get any cheese on the burger. I would definitely recommend trying it as it really was good. I almost didn't order it but I said I had to because it sounded so weird. I'm glad I did!

We ate there two weeks ago tomorrow and it was the new menu. Missing my beloved beef and blue salad:sad1:.

I hope it's still the new menu!! I have ressies there on November 9th and really want to try the new options!

We ate there on Columbus day and I had the picnic burger as well!
It was so big and I was so confused on how to eat it nicely so I used a knife and fork!

Has anyone had the shrimp pasta recently? When we were at Sci Fi in April, we had the option of getting chicken instead of shrimp in the pasta dish. It was amazingly good. I'd love to get that again, but I don't care for shrimp. Here's hoping that chicken will still be an option.

Thats what we were going for- gotta get back on and changes that ADR now!!

Thanks so much for posting this. Out of my family of 5, 4 of us had the items we were planning on ordering removed. Thanks to reading this post, I was able to rebook for Ohana dinner while the dates were still open!!!
