Well, after seeing some of the wonderful SVG files that some of you have done I am seriously considering getting SCAL. I am in love with all of the signs, characters, rides etc and really would like to have them for my scrapbooking. But first I have a few questions. . . . . . . . .

1) Is there another program that I will have to learn besides SCAL? If so, is it hard to learn and will I have to purchase it?

2) Are most Disney SVG files free to download or do I need to purchase them?

3) Is it really worth it if I already have a gypsy plus many of the Disney carts?

4) Would you buy MTC or SCAL and why?

5) Where can I learn more about these products before I buy?

TIA

It's 100% worth it. I use SCAL so I'm partial to it, but I think MTC is pretty similar.

I know some people use Inkscape to make and edit SVGs, but with the latest version of SCAL (2), you don't need to do that. You can trace and edit right in the program.

Free SVGs are out there in abundance. I doubt there are many (any?) sites that would charge for Disney ones, since they are licensed.

This is my favorite spot for free (and pay!) files, and they have loads of easy to follow tutorials, SVGCuts

Here are some items I've made using SCAL.

Invitations to my daughter's 10th birthday party.

There is a way to trace jpgs and pngs in SCAL, if you PM me your email address, I can send you some instructions.

I just bought the program last week. I purchased from : scrappingtable.com -- it was the best price I could find.

I use mainly coloring book pages but lately I have been using Disney pins (tracing them with the beizer tool in inkscape)
I do kinda take spells on posting or when I'm not working (like now) then I do alot (start back to work on the 18 so you'll see less of me ;( )
