I saw mine a few years ago still working in the Target he worked at in High School. I remember being so heart broken by him. In the immortal words of the great Nelson from The Simpsons "Hah Hah".
It would be fairly easy to locate my college GF, if I chose. We became engaged, then she went off to join the Army during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Before she left, she gave me a "pseudo" copy of her dog-tags, on which was her Social Security #. You all may think I am nuts, but I still have it memorized. Of course, we broke up before she got through "BASIC". Like I said..... should I ever really want/need to locate her, it would probably be a 20 minute process.
My highschool BF wrote a letter to me that my mom ended up getting. I haven't seen or heard from him in years. He had no idea where I am now. My mom opened it of course, and read it to me over the phone. He has two daughters now, and is married. Thats not the weird part. He named one of his daughters my exact first name. My name is not that ordinary, and the spelling is a bit different from the traditional spelling. I wonder if his wife knows about me, lol. I hope not, it's a little bit creepy. oh well, I guess the name is immortalized now.
I see my old GF every once and awhile and she is doing well and still a very nice person, but I look at what I have and think of the Garth Brooks song Unanswered Prayers.
I see my HS boyfriend once and while. He is the resource officer at the elementary school my kids used to go to. His son is in band with my son. Small world.

Funny story - well kinda - at my father's wake in December the first six people through the door were the parents of my ex boyfriends from high school through college. I was ribbed to pieces by my family for it - but to tell you the truth it was really sweet and I got to get a quick update on everyone (between tears). I definately married someone better than I ever dated prior to dating him. I got really lucky because my taste in men in high school really stank. You know the old story, girls go for the bad guys and the really good ones sit without dates - that was my husband - thank God I wised up in my old age.
I see my HS BF occassionally. He's still not married and I tell my DH that it's because he's still heartbroken over me and can't find anyone better! Just trying to let my DH know how lucky he is he got me!
Believe me- I'm not pining for my ex... he married a very nice girl that I was friends with in high school....they actually recently bought a house in this neighborhood... I see and catch up with her most of the time... haven't run into him in YEARS.... but I thought it was very nice of him to mention my hair... maybe he really hated it and had to mention it somehow... LOL kinda looks like that!
