What size paper scrap do you consider saveable? Im overrun lately and currious what you say.
Funny - we just re-arranged our scraps in the past few days!
We save pretty much any size that is still punchable - and sad to say, I also bought big bags of great scraps (huge pieces of many premium papers that I sure would have kept!) at our LSS yard sale this summer. My DH was aghast that I actually bought someone else's trash! (Ha - for a buck - I got great stuff!)
We had all our scraps in a big cardboard banker's box, but it was overflowing and too tough to dig around in to find what we needed. So a few nights ago, Z2H and I spent a few hours (!) sorting the scraps into about 12 different main colors (patterns were sorted by whichever color was predominant) and then we used a large 2.5 gallon ziplock baggie to pack up each color. Just last night, I finally stood up all the large baggies up in a black plastic crate - looks great and much easier to use!
Yep - they hold 12x12s with room to spare. They're the reallyyy big bags.
I use a lot of my scraps for cardmaking. Every once in a while, I go through the scraps and throw stuff away, even though it almost kills me
I sort by color and plain/patterned, plus I have a pile that's just basic grey paper. Love that basic grey.
My friends laugh at me when they come over to scrap...I throw nothing away.I go through all the scraps and even the tiny bits that are unusable get put in the recycling, not the trash.
