QOTD: I don't like fig newtons either. I do like strawberry newtons though. Brian enjoys fig newtons so I buy them for him so I won't eat them.

Thanks for the good thoughts for my mil. I think she's finally on her way to feeling better. Its going to be a long road for her I'm afraid.

Gun season starts tomorrow. Brian has a friend coming to hunt with him from Detroit so I won't be seeing him much this weekend. The boys have 2 birthday parties so I'll be running them around as usual!

Just giving us a Christmas bump. I'm about to get Gracie from the groomer than I have a date with Amazon.com. I'm starting to feel like I'm behind on my Christmas shopping. Normally I'm at least half done by the time Thanksgiving rolls around and this year I'm not. I hope after I shop online I'll be reporting than many names are being checked off my list. Wish me luck.

Not only do I like fig newtons, but I actually had some today! And yesterday. And the day before. They're just sweet enough to satisfy my cravings, but not as horrible for me as Oreos or something similar.

Judi, we may have to arm wrestle for the figgy pudding!!

Tricia-- how's that online shopping going? I was out all morning, & put a sizeable dent in my list. And my debit card. But, I got some killer deals at Target! Had a bunch of coupons + a ten dollar off card. Even the cashier was impressed!

Angie-- The jokes make me so sad! I just got back from a book club meeting, and 2 women who were there early with me were being really disrespectful. As for cleaning your house... I'll be right there with ya! It never ends, does it?

Mel- MMmmmm!!! Carrabbas is my fave! Hope you had a great meal!

Becca--- Glad to hear your MIL is improving, but I'll keep her in my prayers. Is it bad to say I don't want to get old? I'd rather go out at the top of my game! Also, I expect lovely pictures of you decorating the Chet-mas tree!

Wilma-- Have fun in Richmond! Hope you get everything you need, and please, if the crowds get rowdy, don't hesitate to throw an elbow or two! There's nothing like a little throwdown on Aisle 9 to get the season started right.

Happy Saturday Sassies!

Do you know what is really annoying? A dh that gets up at 5 am to go deer hunting, leaves the house with his friend and leaves the alarm on so that it goes off at 5:30. I never get to try to sleep in let alone actually sleep in!

Chet is becoming quite the ladies man. Brian just called and has got another doe. We are going to become the deer harem house!

Good morning, Sassies! How are you all this fine Saturday morning? I have just returned from driving to early swim practice and my platelet donation. Actually, I was rejected from the platelet donation because my iron was too low! That's never happened before, but I cannot remember the last time I had red meat. Maybe that has something to do with it. No sloppy doe for us, Judi - it's hamburgers at Winkies I think.

Angie - I find that sort of joke outrageous! I haven't seen anyone around here doing that sort of thing, and I haven't gotten any ugly emails either. Is this something that is nationwide? That's disgusting.

Shannon - Is the Turkey Trot today? Do you have to say "Gobble gobble" when you do it? Oh, don't worry about me in Aisle 9. I am small but feisty - I can kick those big people in the kneecaps if they try to usurp my purchases!

Tricia - not halfway done with the christmas shopping yet? How can that be? You are my Yuletide Organizational Inspiration you know, so get crackin'!

Snow, Kimmy? Say it isn't so! We just have rain, rain, rain. Gets me out of soccer, though, so I can't complain.

Becca - It's nice for Chet to have a girlfriend. I hope you are a good mother in law, or they will never invite you to dinner or let you babysit. Think about it!

Oh dinner was good last night. We went shopping at the Shoppes at Rivercrossing last night and well...Someone got herself a new diamond bracelet Score! We only went into Kay's to buy me a new white gold chain for my wedding rings as I can't wear them at work... I'm dangerous when it comes to shopping.

Vicky's is also have their fun 7 for $25 sale so I stocked up!

We are off to look at cars again today when Kelsie gets off of work. Three more places to check out and then I guess make a decision. Kendall and Colin just love going with us. NOT!

I did buy five things from Amazon yesterday. You gotta love the no tax and free shipping. I only checked one additional name off of my list as the other stuff was for Colin. It's twice as nice for me since his birthday is two days after Christmas. Poor planning on my part.

Wilma~how much longer 'til you get your puppy? Are you getting a male or female? Started picking out names yet?

I think it will be another six weeks or so. I don't know yet if we'll get a male or female - I'm kind of waiting for the breeder's recommendation after she temperament tests them. We know we want a rough coat and as of last week their coats had not declared themselves yet (they can be rough or smooth in the same litter). I have actually never owned a female dog, so we keep thinking of male names. Nothing serious yet - I have to see the face to know what kind of name would fit. It's exciting, though!

Gearing up for a chilly 5K walk w/ Reece in a few minutes. The neighborhood's annual "Turkey Trot." Hopefully, next year he'll be able to run it with me!
