Good morning to all you sassy ladies.

Wilma enjoy your vacation at the beach. We'll miss you and don't forget the sunscreen or you'll come back looking like Bonnie.

So I've been really loving the Olympics so far. Kelsie and I actually watched ladies fencing and they swept the medals. :thumbsup2 I've never been a fan of fencing or for that matter I not sure if I've ever seen it before but hey I'm all for cheering on the Americans. Right now on MSNBC is ladies weight lifting.

You go girls.

Hey Sassies!!

Just a quick stop by... My step mother is coming over to visit and I am grilling some fish and making baked potatoes. Then I need to work on bills and the checkbook, and have a volleyball meeting tonight.

Talk to ya later!!!

Happy Sunday Sassies! Camping was really fun this weekend. Brendan caught the biggest fish, although it really wasn't a fish. He hooked Brian, he was so worried he was in trouble, but it was actually pretty funny at least it was to me and Justin. They also found a huge paper wasp nest on the ground, which is new to me I've only seen them in trees. Speck was pointing it and decided to investigate even though Brian was calling him back. He met a few the hard way and never went near it again. We were going to go to the big lake this afternoon, but its chilly here and their was a small craft advisory for large waves so no swimming at the beach anywho. So we will go ride the bull this evening instead!

I have been watching the Olympics a lot even in the camper. Watching Michael Phelps win his first gold was the highlight so far for me. Although I love to watch it all! And Brian knows why the women beach volleyball players wear the skimpy suits. He says it because they want men to watch. He is a dork.

Happy Sunday all!

Hey! :wave2:

Looks like I missed a big party today....NOT! ;) Where are you hags?

Today Shannon and I took the metro into DC (sorry Becca and Angie, no cheese :flower3: ) and went to Madame Tussaude's wax museum. We had so much fun! Yes we took a bunch of pix, which Shannon is gonna post at the pie hole. The highlight, however, was when the two of us accidentally walked into the mens room and surprised a man doing his business at the urinal! :lmao: We about died from embarrassment! :rotfl: We were laughing so hard! After that we went to Hard Rock Cafe for libations and appetizers. Good times, man!

:rotfl: I hope you didn't surprise him to the point that he turned and missed his mark!!!!! :rotfl:

Good morning!!! Our schools don't start for another couple of weeks, but for some reason this morning feels like getting back in the groove to me. Maybe because volleyball officially starts today and we have practice right after work. Should be interesting...

Atlas has been doing so much better with getting up at more appropriate times. If I don't have to get up for work, he has been letting me sleep until about 6:30!!!!!! I got him some natural puppy food called Avoderm. It is made with avocados and is chicken and brown rice. He really likes it and it seems easier for him to digest. Plus it is supposed to be really good for his skin and coat. I think he has a corn or wheat allergy possibly. I am not sure, but he seems happier and we just started him on it Saturday evening. I am hoping his itches less too. I know a lot of it is "puppy itch", but it just seems excessive at times.

I look forward to hearing how you all are today and what you are up to.
My replacement copy of the library book Atlas ate should arrive today. :upsidedow Also MrJulie has a contractor coming today to FINALLY put the laundry room drop ceiling in and hopefully put our new extra back door in where we found the opening under the siding. OLD houses are so much "fun"... I am so anxious for that work to be done. The door is opposite our front door and at the "end" of the foyer, so that will really change that look.

Yesterday, the visit from my step mom was good. It is just so, so very hard to not have my Dad. She brought me some pictures of him with my son... :sad1: That's all I can talk about for now... But my Orange Roughy on the grill was really good...

Any way, I hope it is a good day for everyone!!
Judi, are you mixing any drinks today??? I'll take a few Fuzzy Navels...

Julie:hug: for you missing your dad. Lost mine in October. He flies around in my signature now. God has a great sense of humor, I hope:angel:
If not ut-oh;)

Happy Monday Sassy Somethings! What a pretty day it is here. Nice and cool for August, I'll take it!

Bonnie, what kind of hack metro system do you have there? Where are the snacks? Did I tell you my cousin and his family are moving to DC very soon? He was going to go alone, but now they are all going. I can't wait to see the pics of the wax museum. And how funny that you walked into the men's room!:lmao:

Julie, glad your visit went well. How long has your dad been gone? My mom passed away almost 18 years ago and I miss her everyday. She never met my boys and that makes me really sad.:sad1: Speck has issues with corn too, but his are the odiferous variety. So he is on a corn free diet too.

Judi, what up today?

Good morning ladies.

Well I did a whole bunch of Olympic watching this weekend. For our badminton ladies wanting to be on the next Olympic team I think we've got a whole lot of practicing to do. :lmao: I learned a thing or two while watching yesterday. What I thought was called a birdie is a shuttle, you play one on one (unless team badminton is to come later), best of three games to 21.

Bonnie it sounds like you had a good weekend. I've walked into the men's room by mistake before but never while someone was doing their business.

Julie  for missing your dad.

So what's everyone up to today? I've got one already out the door for school and two still sleeping.

Good Morning Tricia & Becca

Toots, did the men's room have one of these?

Other that the ortho on Wednesday, this week we are doing whatever Cole wants to do.:thumbsup2

Tricia, I made a special point to watch badminton and I was wowed. I think we may be in trouble! That chinese woman was impressive. We are now down to 3 weeks of summer vacation left. It goes by so fast!

Judi, sounds like a good plan to me! You should bring her to GR for some back to school shopping. Did you take her to see Mamma Mia?

I've thought about GR, I'm not that fond of the mall in TC.

Remember, I live in Hicksville, Mamma Mia hasn't been shown near us.

Hey girls!
Dad died in January from lung cancer that metastasized to his brain. He had only been diagnosed 10 months prior and he was only 60. I was his only daughter. It just feels so strange, doesn't it...

Thanks for the  , they help.

Good morning-it's Monday: uhg! 2 more weeks until Labor day and a 3 day weekend-WOO HOO!!! :cool1:

We did nothing over the weekend but watch lots of the Olympics. I really enjoyed the beach volleyball. I didn't get to see any of the Equestrian events; I need to set the DVR to record them I guess. Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? That was honestly one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! Usually they're kind of lame, but that was unbelievably wonderful! And it was really cool to see the cyclists riding around and under the Great Wall!

Julie~I'm so sorry about your father. We've given our dogs Avoderm before. They really like it. My DH switches their food around a lot, but he's obsessed with giving them really good quality food.

Bex~that's funny about Speck and corn. For our dogs it's any lamb and rice formula food-we learned the hard way not to feed them any lamb!

Have a great day everyone!!

Here's a little more badminton trivia for the sassy team.

Backyard badminton does have a birdie. When you get to the international level it's called a shuttle. Yes I just learned that. :lmao: Men's badminton is on right now and USA is losing. :guilty:

Carry on.....................

Attention ladies! Bon said to post the pics of our goofy trip to the wax museum at the Pie Hole. Done. So if ya want bleeding eyeballs, be sure to check them out!:rotfl:

I have heard them called a shuttlecock before now that your mention it. I still like birdie better. Its amazing, I will watch any Olympic event even if I would never watch it any other time. Water polo is the one that I have never watched any other time, I don't know the rules, but I can't tear myself away.
