Morning, hags! How's everyone doing? We are getting ready to go to the Nationals game today. It's Webkinz day!

So who got the new Twilight book? We went to the midnight release party and Heather had it read by yesterday at noon. So she forked it over to me, but so far I have not started it. Maybe now that my mom is gone to her sisters house for a few days I will have more time to read. How are you girls liking it?

Morning Toot,

Got the package. How do I look? :teeth: Mr. Judi & I went out yesterday, so I'll take the package to Mom later. Can you say I like this aide stuff now:)

Went to the rebuilt Turtle Creek Casino. Then bent my arm a bit, which I haven't done in months.:rotfl2:

Have a great time at the game today

Hi Everyone! Just checking in. Everything is fine here. I haven't had to buy batteries for Joey's new game, but for some reason, the charger is never where it is supposed to be!!:headache:

Joey has also been playing with his cars alot. It is really funny to listen to his little motor running..........he even makes the cars shift gears:confused3 Where do boys learn this stuff? Is it just instinct? :upsidedow

Did I tell ya'll I made Kate get her haircut? SHe wanted to grow it out, but she would never brush it. I was tired of looking at the stringy mess so I made her chop it off. I have to say it looks super cute now.....even when she doesn't brush it:laughing: She likes it too. I told her she could grow out her hair again when she was willing to take care of it.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

:flower3:

Hello, all! Mr. FofP has been Mr. Computer Hog, so I have not been here much this weekend. I hope to re-connect this week! Have fun, everyone!:yay:

Hi Sassies! How was everyone's weekend?

Judi, did you do any good at Turtle Creek? Is it worth it for me to drive there? Will I become a millionaire?

Tricia, I only go to the grocery store about once every 2 weeks. Sometimes I have to have Brian stop on his way home for milk or bread. I shop a lot at Sam's Club too so I buy in bulk.

Bonnie, I am done with Breaking Dawn. Have you started it yet? I don't want to say anything here since Angus doesn't get her copy till Monday. So I will remain silent about my opinion.:hippie:

Hi Sassies~!

How you doing Tricia? Is that storm giving you bad weather or is it far enough away to not affect you? They are predicting it to move through here Tuesday morning. It scares me how fast these storms can pop up in the gulf. Hopefully it will hit land before it gets too strong. I am sitting here trying to decide if i want to board up my windows or not......I probably shouldn't take any chances.

Scott has to work tomorrow and is on call, so he probably won't even get to come home until the storm has passed.:headache:

I'm not freaking out....just a little concerned. I will be glad when it is over. I hate the waiting.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Good Morning.

I can't sleep. I have got to do something about this OCD:lmao: I keep watching the weather reports....not that it is telling me anything new:upsidedow

DH went to work and I probably won't see him again until Wednesday afternoon. He is on call tonight and because the storm is supposed to come through early tomorrow he is just going to stay up there. He has to work tomorrow anyway. Then, I guess it just depends on what the weather does tomorrow. If it blows through fairly quickly, he can come home tomorrow night, otherwise, he will jsut stay a second night.

I am always amazed at how much I really do depend on him to be my anchor. I always thought I was a strong person, and I am, but there is something about us that just works together. He is calm when I am panicky and I am calm when he panics. It is so strange to me how that works out.....especially since he has spent the greater part of the weekend getting on my nerves:lmao:

Good morning, Sassies! Happy Monday! Yesterday we went to the Nationals baseball game and it was a perfect day! Not hot at all. The girls each got the panda webkinz. And I didn't even get sick on the metro!

Becca, I have not even started Breaking Dawn. I have a lot on my mind and can't concentrate, plus my mom is visiting. Although yesterday she left for three days to go visit her sister, she'll be back on Tuesday. Heather keeps bugging me to start it so she can talk about it with me. She had it read the first day! She said it was not her favorite so that also kind of dampers my excitement about reading it!

Angus, how are you liking Big Brother these days? I have not watched last night's episode yet, but I am starting to really get into this season. I have never watched After Dark but I think it would be fun to watch it.

Judi, glad you got the parcel. Do you like Zots? I love those things! Hope you are doing okay. How's your mom doing?

Heather, glad the haircut turned out cute. I wanna chop off Caitlin's hair too. She's got BEAUTIFUL hair but won't brush it. She would be so angry with me if I forced her to cut it though. So next time she gets a trim (on September 3rd), I'm gonna ask the hairdresser to cut more off than Caitlin suspects, but not a whole lot.

Wilma, you need to kick Mr. FoP's ****...let him know who is BOSS of the computer! I know what you mean though, we all need to reconnect. This nonsense has gone on long enough! :sad1:

Tricia, have you guys started back to school? I know you guys always start a few weeks before we do. Are you all set?

Hi to everyone else! :wave2:

Heather, that makes sense. I think it is that way for a lot of people. You can be independent but it is so nice to have another person to support you. You are lucky to have a great husband to rely on that way.

Good Morning Bonnie......are you working or did you get time off since you have family in?

Kate was totally fine with getting her hair cut....although I threatened to get it cut in a short little bob if she continues to neglect it. That was when she flipped out. She doesn't want super short hair.

I tried to get those books from the library, but I now have a hefty fine......I think I even saw my picture on a wanted poster on the library bulletin board:rotfl:

Are you having fun with your Mom in town?.....Silly question! lol.....of course you are. I bet the kids are on :cloud9:

Good Morning

Toot, hadn't had zots in years :) Thank You. Must concur about the posting.

Heather, hang in there. You have always handle the storms ok. Quit watching the weather channel.

Becca, Turtle Creek is a beautiful casino, 90% new machines, most are now penny & nickle machines. The few .25 machines we saw were 9 coin machines. The Bourbon Club is quite fancy up to $35 a shot. They have the price list outside the door. No, we didn't go in.

Yep, I'm at work! I work at the front desk during the summer so I have computer access! Woo hoo! :yay: I am having a great time with my mommy, thanks for asking. Girl, I hear ya on the library fines. I once had to pay $70. You'd think I'd learn my lesson but apparently I did not! I just paid a $20 fine a couple weeks ago.

What are you up to today?

Hi Judi! Zots are so yummy, I totally stocked up when I was at Cracker Barrel.

How often do you go to Casinos, lady? I am from Vegas and I usually avoided them when I could. But there were a lot of restaurants we liked that were inside casinos, and our favorite movie theater was inside a casino too! So we couldn't always steer clear of them!

I think my fine is about 20 but then I have to add the cost of the book Jasmine shredded:headache:

Are Zots the little sugar dot things?

I have to stay out of casinos......I have a problem with the OCD part of me. The next pull could be a big winner......I have to go in with cash and leave the checkbook and debit card at home or I will spend the rent. I am so glad that we do not have casinos here cuz I have issues  I did go once and won sort of big . I had gone with my sister and we split all our winnings and I gave her enough money to buy her college class ring. That was before Scott finished school and we were all so poor. I went to the casino with about 100 dollars I had squirreled away and we each came home with about 600 (lol...for me that is a huge win:rotfl: )

Heather you stole my X marks the spot Great Minds

Toot, we each take $100 dollars, every few months. Last time we went was when Mom was in the hospital. We both still have our hundred, so we could go anytime again. Otherwise, it takes quite a while to save up $200 in change.

I just read an online article about unintentially creepy online games. #6 is Sims and I am laughing so hard at the description.:lmao:

The Sims
Create a family and then lead your sims through their everyday lives, getting them jobs, making them fall in love and making sure they go to the bathroom on a regular basis.

Creepy Factor: First, you play god to virtual people. Then, you can either let them live or have them die in the most horrific ways. Our fave: create a house with no doors and a swimming pool for a floor. Watch them swim until they get tired and drown. *Cue evil laughter.*

For some reason the *cue evil laughter* had me cracking up! SOmetimes I scare myself.........:rotfl2:

Good Morning Sassies!

I love when I log on and see lot's of chatting go on. Good times! :thumbsup2

Heather the Tropical Storm is just south of New Orleans now. It's not raining yet but they said today will be raining all day from the outer bands of the storm.

I have to take Kendall to the Ortho today. We had to squeeze one more trip in before school starts on Friday. Now the fun will begin on scheduling appointments around school and cheer. That ain't gonna be fun. :headache:

Bonnie did the girls get the Webkinz free just for going to the game? If so that's a pretty good deal.

Oh I love Casinos.
3.gif
I've been to Vegas four times. On the very first trip I hit a Royal Flush on a quarter machine and won $2,600.00. :yay: I've never even come close to that ever again. They have a Harrah's Casino in New Orleans that my SIL and I visit about once every three months or so. I always come out of there a loser, but I do use a free buffet coupon so it's all good. :rotfl:
