Has anyone eaten here recently for something other than breakfast and beignets? I see a ton of reviews for breakfast but very few for lunch/dinner. We are staying here in May and have the free QSDP and was wondering how their counter service meals compared. Thanks :flower3:

DD and I just returned from a stay at POFQ. Breakfast at Sassagoula was OK (not as good as in past visits), but we ate there each morning. We planned to eat lunch at the resort one day, but the food looked unappetizing. We hopped on the boat instead and headed over to Downtown Disney. In just a few minutes we were at Earl of Sandwich, where we had an amazing lunch. It was so good that we returned for lunch a couple of days later. Downtown Disney has many options for lunch and dinner, and that might appeal to you more than Sassagoula. Remember also that POR is close by, and if you're at a park, it's a nice break to have lunch or dinner at a nearby resort. For example, the Grand Floridian quick-service restaurant offers a quiet, pleasant alternative to the restaurants in the Magic Kingdom.

We stay at the French Quarter more than any other resort but don't really enjoy their food court. We'll go there for yogurt, fruit or juice, but prefer to walk to the Riverside Mill if we want any prepared food.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. We really liked the chicken quesadilla with black beans and rice. We also ate breakfast there a couple days and were pleased.

We ate there in May 2010, and I remember it being pretty tasty. I had the cheesesteak sandwich. It wasn't the best cheesesteak I ever had, but I remember it being better than some of our table service meals. I would eat there again, if we were staying there.

We have stayed at POR several times and they have a great food court. Not sure how long of a walk it would be from POFQ to POR, but that might be an option. I also second the recommendation for Earl of Sandwich. Just a quick boat ride away and very yummy!

We had a nice dinner there in June. I had a half chicken platter, DH had a pork chop platter and DS had the cheesesteak. The only think I didn't realize when we ordered is that the pork chop was made to order, while the chicken was already prepared. Plus it's the "different stations" thing that can get annoying.

Overall, it was tasty and well-prepared. Not a lot of variety but fine.

DH and DD love the po'boys at POFQ (only served at lunch). Other than that and the beignets we can take/ leave that particular food court. Oddly enough we think AS Music has a much better selection of food.

I've had the BBQ ribs and they are very good. My husband enjoyed the pot roast. It was very tender. It is QS so not 4 star dining but still pretty good. Also you are just a short boat ride form Wolfgang puck QS in DTD and a short boat ride or walk over to POR for their food court. Love the "choose your own pasta" there! You can get shrimp or checken, different veggies and different sauces. And it is huge!
