Hi, newbie here and looking for some info on the Saragtoga Springs Resort and Spa. Has anyone stayed here...how did you like it? We are drawn to the resort because of the suite option. The rates are about $400/night for a one bedroom....any way to find discounts for this rate?

Any info would be appreciated....just starting to plan our first family trip to WDW in May 2007.

Thanks!!

We stay in a one bedroom unit at the SSR a lot and it is beautiful. It has a full kitchen, dining room table, jaquzzi tub, separate shower, balcony and a living room. You could also go to the DVC planning boards here on the dis and could rent points to stay at the SSR and save some money. Hope this helps.

We were there for NYE--it was quiet and fresh.

Scroll down to the section about Disney Vacation club, you will find more information there.

If you do not end up renting points from a DVC member, consider buying an ANNUAL PASS. I checked one bedroom cash rates for a friend and, for a week's stay, they would save something like $800 using an AP rate instead of paying rack rates! Have not stayed at Saratoga(we own at Old Key West) but it seems to be a very elegant reosrt...have used the spa which was nice.

Remember renting points no taxes. But watch out it can get you addicted. I did and now own.

Defintely get an annual pass. That is how I got my room there. $100 a night off. I love Saratoga Springs. Awesome location......beautiful rooms.......and quiet. We had a room with a view of marketplace - it was so awesome. And I love the pools. Even the quiet pools are awesome. :thumbsup2
