Well I figured out the room block info and submitted that back to Michelle for her to start on our contract. I am now waiting (rather impatiently) for it to come to us. haha

In other news, I got us pencilled in with Rev. Jack Day today. I really like what he does and I feel like he is the right choice for us. Very pleased with that!! We are now also looking into videographers. Ive seen other brides talk about what a great investment it was and I am sure that I want to be able to look back with my children and show them our wedding, etc. So were getting it! Ive emailed STVS for info and am going to talk to my parents about that and get their input. Does anybody know of any other great videographers in the area? Whatever you have is greatly appreciated!

Other than that there is not much to report..I need to do a massive photo uploading session...Im trying to put it off til the weekend. Its positively wild in my life lately...uggh.

Another great videographer is Simply Cinematic. We made the mistake of going with a less expensive company and when we received a sample of a full length video that was so bad that we immediately pulled out and unfortunately lost our $500.00 deposit. It's true what they say...you get what you pay for. When we told what had happened to Simply Cinematic they were so understanding that they gave us a 6hr package for only $1750 with 2 cameras, movie trailer, etc. It's definitely true what other girls say, that it's a great investment plus you only really get 3 things left over from your experience, your photos, the video and your hubby lol.

Soo today we are officially less than one year out! In 364 days we will be married!! WOOHOOO!!! I promise Im workingon a massive upload session..its been really crazy lately..only two more weeks of school and Im a college graduate! hallelujah! Weve decided on STVS for videogrpahy and Jack Day for officiating services. I just need to choose which packages and send a deposit.


We have also decided to rent Chiavari Chairs for our reception and are currently looking into the pricing and where and who to rent from since outside vendors will save us more money. Does anyone have any ideas or reviews on who you used or plan to use?

So I know Ive kind of abandoned ship lately, but I am back! Tomorrow is my last day of student teaching and I am done! I have to present my major research project next week but besides that I am done! Graduating in December!! WoooHooo! So now its major wedding time, and a seriously needed update!

Anybody still out there?

So here's what Ive got so far..brace yourself, its alot!!

I finished our cake topper, it actually went really quickly. I bought the metal letter from ebay (super cheap) and got some hot fix crystals-which i ended up not hot fixing to it...long story! I actually E6000'd them to it and they wont be coming off probably ever. I think I could probably run it through the dishwasher and theyd still stay. Ive been pulling at them for a week..haha

And here are my cake inspirations I like: (Roses will be red to match my bouquet)

Here is my dress, when I went for the fitting. I ended up getting the french bustle and its so pretty! I put the dress on and it didnt need any alterations at all! And with the heels its the perfect height..thank God they had it in a petite!!


Beyond that we have decided to have our pre reception at Whitehall, Reception in the St Augustine Ballroom, and our Dessert Party/Wishes Viewing at the Whitehall. This way if more people show up we wont be worried about space or weather since if we had our reception at whitehall I would have wanted it outside.

So since we are inside we are looking into uplighting packages, although they are pretty pricey. (Maybe we can find an outside vendor--and were in the process of looking for one now) We are also looking into someone to rent columns/pillars from for our aisle decor since we cant use Disneys since we are bringing our own floral in. We are going to hire a company to have people set up all of our decor. I dont want to ask my family to do it. I want them to walk in and everything is already done and "magical", I feel like if I asked them to do a lot it would lose a lot of the niceness of the event. And Disney wont set up our stuff were bringing in for us, Im looking into event staffing companies and think Ive found one but if anyone knows about one, please help!!

My shoes and earrings are in and are so pretty and perfect! My Pre RSVPs are here too! I made a postcard with our logo on one side and the question/answer thing on the back. Pretty simple, and I did it when zazzle had 50% off! Yess!!!

I mentioned a few posts back we decided on STVS for videography and Jack Day for our reverend and are so excited! I will be mailing Rev. Day the JackPack tomorrow.

We took our engagement pictures this past weekend and I am anxiously awaiting our proofs! My parents own a wedding photography company here in town and one of their photogs is coming down to WDW for our wedding to shoot, and we met with him and had him take our E-pics too (along with my stepmom) so hopefully between two of them we got some good ones! He was really great and both DF and I feel really good about him!

We signed our LOA and sent the deposit back to DFTW and are waiting to hear from our planner!!! Its really starting to feel real...kinda. You know what I mean! Everything is starting to fall together and I still have a large to do list!

To Do:
Programs-I saw some new DIY ones at Hobby Lobby, and theyre really fancy and classy too! I may go get them this weekend, or wait a while...we'll see how my wallet feels on Friday.
Save the Dates-I think I am just going to make a card on zazzle or something with our logo. So everything is kind of uniform and similar. Still undecided on that one.
Luggage Tags- these have proven to be a thorn in my side. Im contemplating 86-ing the whole idea..but my Mom really likes it. I dont knoooowww!
Make a schedule of our trip, tentative one at least
Fix Newsletter to include room block info
Print newsletters and send them out with STD's, PreRSVP's, etc


I will also be throwing a bridal shower for my BFF in January so I will be uploading and asking opinions and help for all that too. All this MOH stuff for her is time consuming! Im so glad our weddings are far apart so I can give her all the attention and stuff for her wedding and not distracted by mine! I need to buy my dress for hers, throw the shower and the bachelorette party. Any ideas you ladies have I am completely open to!


I think thats it! Whew I made it! Alright girls, thoughts, opinions, comments? Bring em on!!

THANKS! Im so excited, I dont know what to do! Today was my last day of student teaching and it was very bittersweet. Not what I expected out of my day, it threw me for a loop..thats for sure! As far as jobs go, Ive been working fulltime for a great company that has really worked with me these past two years. They offered me a really great salary and a permanent position that I will stick with for the next few years at least. Im keeping my eyes peeled for a teaching position if one should fall in my lap though, it has been my dream since I was a bossy little uber organized 5 year old! hahah

Thank you! I was really worried about it looking crappy and homemade. Since were doing so much ourselves for the wedding, thats one thing Im really worried about. So far everything has turned out really great...thank heavens!

Thanks! You should try it at least! I think I paid 10-20 bucks for the metal and the same for the crystals, compared to triple that to buy it already made? Plus it was super fast to do and actually really therapeutic..strangely enough! Let me know if you need any help or advice!

Hey girl! Thanks for joining! Glad youre here! No I dont think were doing the crysal ribbon..DF has an aversion to it...hes already thinking the cake topper is too "glitzy" he doesnt get it! So he can stay out of the loop! Of course he will end up loving it when I tell him how much everyone else loved it! hehe I think for the cake were going to stick with simple elegance, white with designs and scrollwork, and roses in between the layers. The cake is one thing my mom is really wanting to be "grand" ..shes old school with thinking the cake has to be big magnificent and really match the overall theme and type of event. But I totally agree with her, plus it allows for more oomph allowed! hehe

Well ladies, we finally got our planner today! I am so excited!! I got a phone call--that I missed of course and a voicemail letting me know whats up and to check my email for a packet, etc. I printed it all out and now just need to read! Perfect material for our plane ride this weekend to WDW!! Now Im just waiting on the cd's of the cakes and stuff. I am so excited, I cant wait!! Nothings really changed, it just seems a little more real now.

In other news, Mom and I are leaving on Saturday Morning (verrrry early) to WDW for my Graduation/Christmas/Wedding Planning trip! We are very excited for that too! We will be going to MVMCP while were there. Tonight, Ill update yall on our plans and schedule for when were there. I just got so excited here at work that I needed to log on and share my news!!! Im also officially done with college FOREVER! Graduation is in 9 days!! Life is pretty good right now!
