Congrats on Graduation! I can't wait until I'm done, I don't have too many more classes to go, but it really seems like it's never going to end and I'll be in college forever!! :scared1::scared1:

I'll be at Disney on saturday too!!! I'm taking DF's sister and a friend of hers.

Congrats Sarah on getting your planner and your graduation as well! Hope you have a great trip to Disney!!

Hello Ladies!

I know its been a while, Ive been a bad DisBride! :headache: I will eventually get a mini trip report done for our last trip we took last week-ish. I dont much feel like working today, so maybe I can get that done...we'll see! :rotfl: Im kind of at a stand-still with planning right now since theres not much we can do at this point. Can you guys think of anything I can do right about now?

Things are about to get a little crazy. Im throwing my BFF a bridal shower in about 3 weeks :scared1:...and I dont have anything planned. I have sent out the invitations..but that is it!! HELP, PLEASE!! Any ideas, crafts, games, recipes, anything you guys can think of to help a sistah out would be greeaaat!! Im starting to get a little freaked out.

I'll catch yall up soon on our trip. I got some really great pictures of the castle..sigh:lovestruc Talk to you all soon, enjoy your Holiday Season and Merry Christmas if I dont check back in again before then. :grouphug:

I felt like that for a while too, it seemed like everything was set and it was too early to do a lot of things. My advice would be to try to do any DIY projects you can (if you're doing any, that is). It seemed like I had loads of time for stuff and before you know it the weddings here and I was freaking out. But it all works out in the end. ;)

For the bridal shower does she have a theme? My favorite game is the toilet paper bridal gown. You buy a ton of TP and guests are put into teams to design a dress, one person from each team models the "gown" and the bride picks her favorite. We had so much fun doing that at my shower and it really gets guests mingling. You also have the typical bridal bingo, or trivia about the couple, you could do a "newlywed" type game where you ask the bride questions about the groom (you get his answers beforehand).

I recently made cake pops for our Christmas party and they turned out really cute, but they were very time consuming, so possibly not the best project if you're short on time.

i'm bumping you because i need an update :)

also wanted to let you know i'll be weekending in wdw on your date!! we just decided this week!!

yay!!

Alright, alright, alright...Since I dont have much time for a full on trip report I will break our mini trip into the key points. Let me tell you in advance, it was COLD! Like freakishly cold! 20s and 30s at nights and 40s during the days. Now Im from down South and anything lower than 60 is frigid for me!

Saturday- We arrived at WDW, and spent the day/evening at DHS. We had dinner at the Brown Derby--where my serious addiction to the cobb salad was born and must be fed at least once while im in Disney. We watched the Osborne Family Lights, shopped, and really just enjoyed the park. We went into the Artist's area where you can learn to draw the characters..not really sure what its called. Can you believe Ive never been back there? I loved it! It was so cool! I didnt know they had real Oscars! I really enjoyed doing something new and exciting while we were there. We did not ride ToyMania! because the line was sooo long and we didnt have time :sad2: Im still a little sad about that, but good thing Ive got the Wii Game!

Here are some pictures from Day 1

Sunday- We got up and went to DTD for some shopping and whatnot. I splurged in Basin and picked up some gloves and a hat too. (Im telling you, it was freezing and I was SOO NOT prepared) We went to lunch at the GF Cafe and took a walk around the hotel. I saw a Dis Bride!! If these are your pictures--you looked great! We also bought some gingerbread shingles from the Gingerbread House. The Whitehall and ballrooms had something going on so I couldnt go peek in..very disappointing. :sad1: We hung around the hotel and took a nap then popped up for the MVMCP!! Which was great! The park was near empty and we walked on every ride! Character greetings and Hot Chocolate were EVERYWHERE! I would definitely reccomend it to anyone! The parade was pretty darn cute too. I just love Disney at Christmas!!

Monday- It was so cold, Mom and I hopped into the rental car and went to the Outlet Mall on a quest for warm clothes. We got gloves, hats, scarves, a jacket for me, and a few other layers. We also ended up buying blankets to bundle up with as we sat and waited for the parade at MVMCP. So once we got all that done we were cozy! We headed to Epcot for lunch and hung out til dinner. We ate lunch at Tutto Italia and dinner at Nine Dragons. Tutto Italia was good. I ordered a salad and the way they presented it caught me off gaurd. I wasnt expecting to cut and mix the lettuce and dressing myself..call me simple but I like my salads ready to eat. (Maybe Im still green with this stuff, but I laughed when I saw it.) Nine Dragons was good too, the one drawback was the closeness of the tables. There was a super annoying highschool couple sitting next to us and the girl talked and talked and talked and talked and talked the whole time. She had a really annoyingly high pitched voice and the subject of conversation was just crap. I felt dumber for having sat next to her for an hour. :headache: The poor guy she was with spoke 15 words, maybe. Okay sorry for the rant--the food was great though!

Tuesday-We headed to MK again to spend the morning before we had to head back home that evening. Rode all of the rides and just enjoyed the park. I took a lot of pictures of the rides---shh dont tell anyone! :rolleyes1 They came out pretty good. Im going to put the link of my album at the end of the post so you guys can roam or check out all the pictures I took if youre interested.

Dolly and I created our STD's they look soo great! I should receive them today from Zazzle and know how the quality came out. I am working on printing our newsletters out at home. My printer is soo slow! The newsletter is about 6 pages and I need to print 40-50 of them! :scared1: Of course I start on them last night and it doesnt print 40 copies of 7 pages it prints 40 copies of page 1, 40 copies of page 2, etc etc..so now I have to go through and sort them out..uggh. :headache: I think I may have to call in some troops on that one! I also still need to cut the cardstock inserts for our luggage tags and put them in, print the labels for the envelopes and get the postage and send them..I am scared to how much postage will cost. I bought 10x12 envelopes..now Im thinking I should get smaller ones but really I have no clue. If anyone has insight on postage or anything please let me know!! :confused3

Here is our STD:--I love you Dolly! :goodvibes

Our aisle runner is done. The print is a bit small, but with petals on both sides I think it should be fine. It will be understated and classy. Sorry for the crappy phone pictures.

Thats about it for now, Im waiting on the STDs and I need to print and assemble our first package out to our guests. I will keep you all updated on new changes. I need to go and get my dress from Davids, the bustle is done and also order my MOH dress for BFFs wedding in 2 months..eek. I promise Ill be better about updating!

Im not quite sure why everything is so huge..but I really dont feel like going back and fixing it all. haha

Deena! Thats great, you guys should come and stalk us while youre there! Maybe we can get together for a meal or something!

Suddenly, there are only 10 months til our wedding...:scared1: YAAYY! Time is starting to go by again! I just need to get my savings in order!

everything looks GREAT!! seriously... what an update! it's all coming together nicely!

we will definatley have to fit in a lunch, or something... or if you need help with anything!! i'm going to lurk for sure, lol!!

Since you are so crafty and on the ball for your wedding...I just had to post this idea on your thread in case you didn't see it on my other thread. You are one of the DISbrides that I could see doing this!

If you want to go an extra mile...put baskets in the restrooms for your guests during the reception. You can include a stain stick or stain wipes, hand sanitizer, aspirin, lotion, hand wipes, a sewing kit, safety pins, breath mints, etc. Here is a poem to go with it:

So happy you are here to share in our special day
But should something happen to go astray,
Please help yourself to the contents within,
Wet wipes, hand lotion and even aspirin.
Use only what you need and leave the rest,
It may also be useful to another guest.
So repair the damage that may have been done,
Then hurry on back and join in the fun!

Compliments of the Newlyweds!

You could even adapt this poem to fit your welcome gift basket or a "bear necessities" kit.

Also, I love when brides put flower arrangements in the restrooms. I know it is going overboard, but it is always so nice to see all of the little extra touches!

thanks dolly! i may have to steal that cute poem and do that! if not in the restrooms, definitely in the welcome bags!! thank you!! thats so cute!!:goodvibes

I love it too! Maybe you could include it in your STD package that you are sending to potential guests. If not...maybe in your welcome gift bags for guests that attend the wedding.

If you do...you can make a cool CD/DVD cover and holder for it.

Wow you've done so much since I last read you PJ (I have been a bit MIA too). Lovel the aisle runner and you dress is fabulous:goodvibes
