Merry Christmas, Shelly!! I can't believe it's only one month until we are back at Disney.

I'm so looking forward to walking around the Beach Club/Yacht Club on my trip since I made a reservation for Beaches n Cream. Your pictures are making me excited! How long of a walk would you say it is from DHS to BnC? I know there is a boat but I don't mind walking if it isn't too long.

I hope you enjoy the Wilderness Lodge. : It's one of my favorites!

Loved all the pictures of the Boardwalk area at night! So pretty! Looks like the PERFECT way to spend an evening. We're having freezing rain right now, so seeing all the beach pictures is killing me. Love the one of all of you on the swing! That is a great picture!

Pretty pictures of the lake at night! When you did your family pics, did you just set your camera on a fence post or something and use the timer, or did you grab some passerby to take your pic? They turned out good!

I'd say it's a good 20+ minute walk from DHS to BnC. I think it's a bit over a mile. You will love the BC/YC area! Hope you enjoy BnC!

Glad you enjoyed the pics. I set the camera on a post for the pic on the swing. Then a lady sitting on a bench nearby saw us and came over and offered to take a pic for us, so she took the one of us standing.

Our Magic Bands arrived today!!!

So they are coming about 4 weeks out, we are at 4 weeks tomorrow!

We booked a last minute trip to the WL on Thursday night, Dec 26th, customized the MB's right away, and they shipped yesterday. We'll be at WL from Jan 23rd to Jan 27th. If I see you around the lodge I'll stop and say hi.

We've always stayed at the Beach Club until we discovered the WL last February. The rooms are a bit smaller, but the boat to MK is really convenient. I hope you like it there. This quick trip in January will be our third time there. Then we are back to the BC in March for the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot.

I received my magicbands yesterday too!! My grandma and I think they are so cute and can't wait to use them. Also everyone else who I have shown them to are amazed by them. :lol:

I'm a bit nervous about the smaller room size at the WL. But I'm thinking since it's such a short trip and we won't be in the room a ton it will be alright. Hopefully.

The magic bands are very cool!! They were a bit sweaty and annoying in August, but I'm thinking we won't even notice wearing them in January!

Saturday, August 24:


We were up early on this day. We wanted to get to MK before the morning show! We arrived around 8:35 or so and by the time we went through security and all that and were up in front of the train station it was 8:45. There were people everywhere. It was so crowded that once you went through the kiosk there was nowhere to go. People just kept coming in, but there was no room to move forward. It was a madhouse!! We knew we were in for a crowded day. On our last August trip (2011) we came to MK on our last Saturday morning (which would have been a week later, the Sat before Labor Day) it was like we had the place to ourselves. That was definitely not going to be the case on this day.








We headed up Main Street with the masses.




















We went through the castle and into Fantasyland. First stop – Peter Pan! We had about a 5 minute wait. I guess I didn't take any pics on the ride this time.






Then we walked over to IASW and rode, with no wait.

And then it was onto the carousal. It's always tradition to make DH ride the smallest horse!









We did all that by 9:30 and then we went over to the Little Mermaid and used our 9-10 FP+.





















After the LM we headed over to Dumbo.
