Ok that was not really what I was expecting. I was thinking DQ was just video games??? I didn't know they had virtual rides and stuff like that. That's a lot better than what I had in my mind that it was. The price to get in there though... Yikes! Glad you got in free!

That's neat that your DS got to open DQ! I love it when stuff like that happens! DD got chosen to be in the Lion King show at AK on our last trip. That was a lot of fun! At first she was really bashful and told the CM that she didn't want to, but I sort of pushed her out there and she really didn't have much choice then!

I LOVE those bowling balls!!! I'm not even into bowling, but I want a ball like that!

I really liked it!!

I have not been to the movies to see anything other than an animated Disney movie in about 10 years!!! Personally, I just think Hollywood has lost their minds with the junk they produce and I haven't heard of a non animated movie in ages that I wanted to go see. BUT... I AM going to see this one! I am so excited to get to go to an 'adult' movie! I have no idea when I'll get to go because we have so much going on right now with Christmas and all, but I will be going! I'm so glad to hear you liked it. I've heard nothing but good things so far. Did you think Tom Hanks made a good Walt?

The drive is not bad at all. We usually leave at about 6pm and drive all night. It's about 15.5 hour drive. We make less stops because the boys sleep. There is a lot less traffic too.

I agree this is going to be a long winter!!

We did YC CL last summer and I was very disappointed. So this year we decided to do standard room at the BC and just hang out at SAB. We have a one day ticket left to use but other than that it's just a no park trip. We are stopping at universal for a few days before Disney. So we will at least get some park time. Have you done Universal?

How long does it take you to recover from driving all night?

We drove to HHI this summer and that was enough for us. I could completely understand how Shelly would be done with driving to NC.

You should look it up on Youtube. There are some good videos showing what all is there!

DH and I rarely go to the movies either. But this time I made the time!! It was great. Tom Hanks was the perfect fit for Walt Disney.

After our fun at DQ, we went back to the YC and got changed and headed out to the pool.

Guess we didn’t take too many pool pics on this day.

After about an hour or so we went back up to the room and rested a bit and got showered and cleaned up. We decided to head over to the BW for some dinner.

The kids had been asking all week for a BWI Pizza!! So that's what we were having. And it was very good as always!

After dinner we walked out back to the BW pool. As always it was a much more quiet and pleasant atmosphere than the SAB pool. We sat there for awhile and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. I called Jodi and we got caught up and chatted for quite a bit.

Then we went back out to the BW for some dessert!

DS12 and I got sundaes at Seashore Sweets. They were HUGE!!

I only ate about half of mine, so DS14 decided to finish it!

I've been MIA for awhile but am back now. We were on a Disney cruise the first week of December and it was AMAZING! I know in the past you had contemplated one AND they are expensive, but we had the most awesome time ever. It really was our best vacation yet. I think I can say we are now hooked. Both my boys and DH told me they never have to set foot in WDW again. Now, I don't feel quite that way, but I did love it a lot.

Anyway, I am going to go back to read what I missed but quickly read your last update. We also like the pizza over at the BW. On our last trip we were lucky enough to grab a table by the water and watch the boats come and go. It was a really relaxing night. After our pizza dinner we strolled the boardwalk area and enjoyed the entertainment. Your sundaes look delicious and huge! I can understand why you couldn't eat the whole sundae.

If I don't get back on here before Christmas, enjoy your holiday. Merry Christmas!

Wow, sounds like you had an awesome time! I just did my 2014 TA Disney course and there was lots of cruise info on it and I have to admit that I am very intrigued!!

We love getting pizza from the BW. So convenient, cheap, and good! Those sundaes were ridiculously large.

Wow, your DL trip is coming up soon!! I'm so jealous! We just never seem to make it out there. Maybe one day...

The BW has lots of great food! I can never understand when I hear people on here saying that they don't like the BWI because of the lack of CS choices. There is a lot more than over at the YC/BC!! Plus all of the awesome TS restaurants and some of them don't even need ADR's.

Merry Christmas Eve TR Friends!


I realize no one is around, but I am going to go ahead and finish up reporting on this day. Then I will only have 2 days left to report on after Christmas.

After we were done with our enormous sundaes we watched some of the performers on the BW. They were all pretty good, but I did notice that our favorite guy was missing. We never saw him out there the entire trip.

We made the loop the whole way around and back to the beach in front of the BC.

DS12 and I messed around on the beach a bit, while DH took DS14 into the BC Marketplace. DS had his eye on a peanut butter cupcake all week and he was finally going to get it tonight. Unfortunately for him they didn't have any this time. He was so bummed. I think he ended up with chocolate cake or something, but I guess it wasn't very good.

We stayed out there until almost 9:00, and then went back up to the room to watch IllumiNations.

After that I went onto MDE app and changed the times for our FP+ in the morning. I had them for 10, 11, and 12. I moved them up to 9, 10, and 11. The first one was for the LM. I originally figured we would do PP, IASW, Philharmagic, the carousal, etc. and then get to the LM around 10. Since we already did Philharmagic on our other MK day I figured we would make it to the LM before 10. So I moved that FP up to 9-10, and then moved the others up as well. With no problem, the night before!

Merry Christmas Eve! I'm here procrastinating on getting my day moving along. Ya know laundry and preparations for tonight.

Mmmmm the pizza looks so good! Back in June we stayed at BC and DH and DS went over to BW one night for pizza. I was jealous it was one of our less than magical days and DD and I went back to the room instead after a melt down.

Bummer he couldn't get the cupcake he wanted. I just hate when you have your heart set on something and then no all out.

I hear ya, I did some cleaning & things this morning but now I don't feel like doing anything.

Oh I hate less than magical days like that. But, it happens. Maybe next time you and DD can go for BW pizza too!

He was so bummed about that cupcake!! They had them there every single day up until this day and then they were gone. They never got them again the rest of the trip either. I am going to make it my mission to get him one next month!!
