Hi,
We have reservations for dinner next month at Sanaa. We ate there last year and really loved the bread, but the rest of our food just wasn't my favorite. It was also possibly not my favorite because our one year old at the time was cranky, fussy and throwing a fit. I just wanted to hurry and get the food so we could leave.

I wanted to give it a try again on this upcoming trip so I
made reservations, but now he is two and I'm considering just canceling the reservation because I have a feeling he will be cranky again after a long day at AK and I don't want to be bothersome to other diners.

However, I did read on here a little while ago about people ordering the bread service to go from the lounge. I called Disney today, but the lady didn't know the answer and no one answered the phone to the number she gave me that she told me was the restaurant.

Can anyone tell me if they recently have ordered the bread service to go?

In general*, Disney restaurants just are not set up to do "to go" orders. The kitchens are operating at pretty much seating capacity at each restaurant as it is. I cannot imagine the disaster it would become if takeout orders were allowed as well.

"Some" of the restaurants do have boxes you can take your leftovers with you after you've dined.

There's not even a way to go in and make a takeout order.

*I'm sure someone will come along shortly, detailing how they got bread service to go. If it's happened, and it may have, just know that it's not part of their normal way of doing business.

That's one where I'd say give it a shot, and be prepared with a backup plan if they aren't able to accommodate. I've found that a lot of what they will/won't/can/can't do at Disney restaurants changes with the day and the conditions.

We were able to get bread service to go last March. When we got to Sanaa, we told the CM at the podium that we wanted a to go order of bread service, and they sent us to the bar, where we ordered form the bartender.

I have read a bunch of reports of people getting it to go from the lounge. That said, if you are not staying at Kidani it seems to me the hassle to get it is way more than it is worth... driving there, parking your car, going in, ordering, waiting for the order, and doing the whole thing in reverse. it won't be warm and fresh by the time you consume it.

We were staying at Jambo, and took the resort van to Kidani and back. We were lucky that we didn't have to wait for the van, so it was fine by the time we got back to our room.

Thanks everyone! Picking up some bread to and also stopping at the QS location for some Zebra domes to take back to the room sounds like the plan.

Would love to do this!!

Would they also let me get an order of tandoori chicken sandwich to go?

Does Sanaa's lounge allow guests to purchase the full bread service, or just the one with 3 sauces?
