San Angel in restaurant

What do you think about this restaurant?

I thought the food was just ok. Maybe I wouldn't have minded if I were on the dining plan but I didn't think it was that good for the price. I really like the ambiance though. I would consider going back for that alone.

We enjoy it for lunch...we have yet to have dinner there though...we too, love the ambiance, and those margueritas cannot be beat!!

We ate here for the first time for dinner in 12/11. We were a party of 5 adults and I was so hoping and praying we would get a seat by the water (we didn't want to wait for one because the check-in line was insane and there were a lot of people already waiting for tables). We got the most perfect table right by the water. It was so quiet and peaceful. The service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was ok, IMO. My brother ranted and raved about how delicious his meal was (I believe he had the Pollo a las Rajas), but the rest of us thought our meals were just ok. My fiance had the steak and I had the tortilla soup and beef tacos (very chewy). I would love to go back again, but I know it'll be awhile because we love so many dining options at Epcot already.

Okay, I'm in the minority here. My wife and I, along with our kids, really enjoy this restaurant. Their menu change (at least it seems changed) has really helped. We all really like the theming and atmosphere as well.

I totally agree with you! I loved my Pollo a las Rajas (SO GOOD) and my fiance enjoyed his dish - I think it was some kind of roast pork. The margaritas were also fantastic - I got the avocado and he got the jalepeno. They were both great but the jalepeno was to die for! I will say the desserts were downright bad, especially the lime floating islands meringue thing, so I would stay far, far away unless you're on the dining plan.

we ate there for the first time this past November....

I had read a lot of mediocre reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. the atmosphere is really cool...

I had the Sirloin Con Chilaquiles....it was pretty decent...i wouldnt say it was the best meal i had on property...but it was definetly better than what i expected from all the reviews I had read...the meat was a little chewy...but seasoned well...i enjoyed it.

I say give it a try...the atmosphere alone is worth it.

My wife and I LOVE San Angel Inn. I love the fact that it's not typical Tex-Mex or "Americanized" Mexicn food. It's different, goos and the atmosphere can't be beat.

My husband and I eat at San Angel Inn every trip. We love the ambiance and sitting neat the water. The food has always been good. I think last time my DH said his steak was a little dry but nothing too bad. Hope you enjoy it.

Teppan Edo, good food, fun experience but I rank it low compared to teppanyaki places around home. If you have a Benihanas or other near you I'd skip Teppan. Fun for kids and is decent though.

San Angel Inn. Excellent!! Great atmosphere. Do not go here expecting typical Americanized Mexican fare. For that reason some do not like it but we love it. Must do every trip.

Kona Cafe, Excellent!! Often underrated Kona is one of the best. I rank it above the more popular Ohana's which is next door and also good.

Rainforest Cafe, decent but over priced and not unique as its a national chain with one here in Phoenix and other cities nationwide. Fun atmosphere for kids.

We all love San Angel Inn. The one restaurant that we all can agree on at WDW.

DH and I both love it and DD had a blast when we went in May. The tortilla soup is wonderful and we always find the food good (7 or 8 visits over 5 years).

We did dinner once and lunch the rest. Love to hit it at 1130, when they open to get a table by the water.

My opinion is similar to everyone else on the post. I have read a ton of mediocre reviews about San Angel Inn, but I absolutely loved it!

The chips and salsa were freshly prepared. The steak wrapped in a pepper was fantastic! the menu appeared to be more authentic or traditional mexican as oppossed to the americanized tex'mex you would get at a Chi-Chi's or On the Border. The price while not cheap, is very much in line for dining at Epcot... around $25 a plate, and is actually a bargain compared to the $40 buffets and $50 steak dinners in France and Canada.

I would love to eat there again!

I'm confused, why do you keep saying "your welcome?"

We are going to try it again this year. I hope it is offered with the Candlelight package again, since it seemed to be a cheaper option.
