It is my daughters one year wedding anniversary. They are supposed to sail tomorrow. DCL will not tell them their itenarary. She has been so wanting to go to Castaway Cay since she went as a little girl. If they try to reschedule they will take a 75% hit. Do they not tell u where u are going until u go?

It should be on her reservation. Has she checked online? Has DCL notified her that there's been a change to her itinerary? If so, they will be the ones to notify her what the new itinerary is. There's been some shuffling due the recent hurricane, so it's possible that some ports are still not fully open. It's not that DCL "will not" tell her, they just may not know if there are any changes yet.

Typically for a 4 night cruise the ports are Nassau & Castaway Cay, but, as I said, it depends on what's open for business after the hurricane. The last 4 night cruise went to Cozumel.

As far as I know, Castaway Cay is supposed to be ready for visiting.

It's not that they don't tell you where you are going as a general rule. The problem is Hurricane Matthew has added some uncertainty to the plans. From what we've heard, there was minimal damage to CC so it's very possible the island will be ready for visitors by Wednesday when the Dream was scheduled to be there, but I'd imagine there is still considerable amount of cleanup that needs to be done to the island. DCL probably doesn't know yet whether CC will be ready. So DCL can't tell your daughter until they get firm information on the progress of the cleanup. Luckily, it looks like Matthew won't be doing the loop that had been feared just a few days ago.

Nassau will not be ready by Tuesday. Perhaps they will throw in an extra sea day and then hit CC as scheduled on Wednesday with another sea day as normal on Thursday.
I have heard that CC will be ready to go as they did not get as much of Matthew as was forecasted. I sure would not cancel though and take that loss.

Also, keep in mind that Castaway Cay is not ever a guaranteed port. There are mulitple weather issues that could prevent the ship from docking there. And that can happen any time. So, to cancel now in order to ensure going to Castaway Cay and lose 75% of the cruise fare does not sound a good idea at all. If they indeed miss Castaway Cay, they should instead just rebook for another cruise onboard with the 10% discount and the onboard credit. Cancelling now and new cruise would be 175% of cruise fare for one cruise, going on the cruise and rebooking onboard would be 190% of cruise fare minus the oboard credit ($100 for short cruise on Dream) for two cruises. The second seems to be the far better deal as the rest of the cruise besides Castaway Cay is a pretty wonderful experience, too!

Incidentally, the webcam is up at Nassau and there are a couple of ships docked there. :)

However, the water has some whitecaps, and winds are pretty blustery and at last notice there was still 45% of the island with no power, that said, I would still keep the reservation and go. :)

When we sailed after Hurricane Irene, we had a sea day on our Castaway Cay day as the CMs were still cleaning up the island. The Captain was not sure if we would make it there the next day(our scheduled sea day) or not until about dinner time. He made an announcement, I'm guessing as soon as he could, to let us know we would be going, and the ship erupted in cheers. :) So my point is they really may not know until the last minute. I know the uncertainty is not easy, but sometimes that is what it comes to.

CC can be missed for a variety of factors - wind/waves have been known to keep ships from docking there. I wouldn't personally rebook with the assumption I would make it next time if it meant losing 25% of my fare and missing my first wedding anniversary trip!
