SAB and Luna Park Rehabs in January

We are checking in 3 weeks from today at BCV! We got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that SAB will remain open, but the pool slide will be closed from January 16 until the "end of January". We will be there the 22-29, so I hope we'll see the slide opened. I know it will probably be too cold to swim, so we aren't overly concerned.

The part that I find interesting is that Luna Park is supposed to be closed in January, right? I thought I read here that it closes January 2. Our letter specifically states that we can use Luna Park Pool and the pool slide there if we want. I also know that several people with reservations at BWV were told they could use SAB and others were told no. Obviously the slide is the only thing closing at SAB, and it will be only for a short time, but that might be why we have confusion. I'll be interested to see how it plays out.

Luna Park pool will close on January 28, 2013. The bakery will close on January 2, but they have a temporary tent set up outside.

I appreciate that info. Obviously there is confusion somewhere as someone just posted on the Mousellaneous thread that they received a letter from BWV stating the pool closed January 2. I wonder what the real story is.

I didn't mean to imply that he was wrong. I re-read my post, and it does seem accusatory, so I apologize. I simply meant that it seems like DVC is confused - the resort KNOWS what is happening, but DVC does not. They are sending out incorrect information. Or, perhaps there was more to the story that we don't know. Either way, David, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Loving our stay and didn't take your post the wrong way. You are correct that someone didn't know what was going on. The letter sent out stated January 2, 2013. Even staff at the resort were't consistent with their answers. But today, t the pool was open and I had a life guard radio operations to get the exact details. The pool will close on January 28, 2013.
