I have a friend interested in buying DVC. I haven't paid much attention to the current selling prices and if there are incentives available. She would probably like BCV or BWV if that's possible. A previous poster said they just bought at BWV. I assumed only SSR was available. Any info on this I could pass on to her?

Your friend can purchase BCV or BWV directly from Disney for $92/point. Some DVC guides will initially say they don't think there are any points available, but that's not true. BCV can be difficult and your friend may have to wait but then again two people on these boards have purchased points at BCV in the past month or so by being willing to take any Use Year that was available. BWV points should be no problem. The minimum purchase is 150 points.

I'm not up to date on the current SSR incentives but last I heard the price is $98/point but they are/were offering an $8/point discount on that so it would make it $90/point, again with a 150-point minimum purchase.

The other option is to purchase a resale contract. Check out the listings at The Timeshare Store, this board's sponsor, by clicking on the "DVC Resales" link at the top of this page. There is no minimum purchase when buying a resale contract. Prices vary based on the size of the contract (smaller contracts go for a higher price/point), the number of points you are getting (banked, current and next use year's points that are coming with the contract), and the resort (BCV is the most expensive). With resale there are closing costs (around $500 but it varies with the size of the contract) and reimbursement of some/all of this year's annual dues but these items may be negotiable.

HH and Vero are 87 a point from DVC, they would get ALL the 2005 pts + the 2006 points. No 2005 dues/taxes.

you would get 200 bucks as the person who refered them.
