Sam - I also posted quotes for
DCL in the late Spring right up to the repositioning.
In all fairness, here is another (comparing apples to apples for
one sailing only):
Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas May 8th, 2005 Western Itinerary
Ocean View Stateroom
Cost per Passenger: (3rd and 4th) passengers are children age 3 12)
Cost per Passenger:
Fare Taxes/Fees Total
1) 922.20 23.15 945.35 USD
2) 922.20 23.15 945.35 USD
3) 455.80 23.15 478.95 USD
4) 455.80 23.15 478.95 USD
Total: 2756.00 92.60 2848.60 USD
I admit $2848.60 (
RCCL) < $4130 (DCL) for the comparable itenerary / date / stateroom.
* Florida Residents rate for DCL is estimated to be $2065 IF it is offered
I'm not in marketing - I'm an engineer. I just put up the facts I had on hand, where I got them, and their scope. I drew my conclusions, and it was there for everyone else to draw theirs (even if some of you missed my point)
I'm personally concerned with the discounted rates which affects me and other Florida Residents (I'm sorry DCL doesn't offer that to everyone). I made no attempt to conceal that in my post.
Like I said "not withstanding finding a great deal on another line"
