Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Has anyone called lately? Didn't one of the CMs yesterday say something about a memo that should be out today with info...of course, it could also be nothing more than "tell them anything to get them off the line" stuff again, but wondering if anyone has tried...

My DS7 came home from school today totally excited: "MOMMY! You can meet Elsa at Disney World!" Oh dear..... :faint: We most definitely won't score a FP+ for that M&G. Maybe I'll just tell him the Frozen show is where you can meet Elsa. There is NO WAY I will wait for two hours just to meet Elsa. I just hope we don't have to wait two hours to see ROL then either if they don't do dining packages or FP+ when we go.
I have seen them available the day or two before. Even if just 1 of you gets to go in with him it's worth it (to me).

My mom and I really enjoyed our meal there last fall. Mom had an enchilada thing and I had a trio of things. The virigin margaritas were awesome too (I was pregnant at the time)...

But there are other places we'd like to go for our upcoming vacation. I really do think it's hit or miss.

Now, 2 years ago, we had a horrid meal at Le Chef's.
What's happened to Les Chefs? We used to love it but last time it was awful!!! The service was good but the food was not good at all.

So I was for sure thinking today would be the day because I was in a car accident - car flipped on its side, I was pulled out the window, and amazingly enough, I'm totally fine - this morning and my phone was somewhere in the car! Glad I am ok and that I didn't miss anything!

I am SO GLAD you're okay!! That is terrifying!!!

Just checked out the menu and really might consider ordering off the kids menu, if I can, and then still be able to enjoy the food stations.

Careful, from what I've read, table service places will give you adult sized portions and prices if you order kids menu items. It might be better to splitan entree or get an appetizer. Counter service places seem to be no problem.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes !!! I passed my teaching exam !!!

Now if only these stinkin packages would show up !!!
Congratulations!!!! :D

In 2014 with our 4 girls, we told them that they could see Anna & Elsa in the parade but they didn't have a meet n'greet. That satisfied them.

Since then, Anna & Elsa came to the twins' birthday party which was a hit and we're doing both the singalong at HS and the meet n'greet at MK (though the only time we were able to score was a 10 pm slot ... hoping to move that up the day before or day of as people cancel due to plans changing. If not, 10 pm it is).

That's what I told him. She's in the parade and she's on stage, that's what the girl in school meant. Now if we can score FP+ or there is a low wait, it'll be the icing on the cake.

I can't take just him in line since it's only me and 3 kids. So it's either all 4 of us or no one.

Thank you all! It was just me and one other driver and he appeared fine. I had just dropped my 2 yr old off at my parents' house, thank goodness! I don't even want to think about that because I was hit on the side he sits on. I'm sore and will probably get more sore but everyone walked away, alive and healthy!

Sometimes you can't really grasp how lucky you are! I had just dropped off my then DD2 at day care, too! I got hit front and center by a guy turning into a one way street the wrong way. Broke my ankle pretty badly. I still walk on crutches. But we're going to Disney nevertheless :)

I agree! We went last year and it was awful. The dessert was good but it wasnt worth what we paid for the other food. I wont go back.

Oh gosh, where do I even begin?

Well, I remember we had a 545p reservation. We were seated by 6, which was fine. The server came by and introduced himself and once he saw my DD, he instantly turned into this snobbish person. He threw our bread basket on the table, and when DH and I needed our iced teas refilled, he "spilled" it on our table. He did NOT want us there AT ALL. There were a few other instances as well.

When I got home, I wrote a long email to Disney and they comped us our meal (with a gift card), and I ended up speaking to the manager over the phone. This wasn't the first complaint this guy had received.

Anyway, it's left us with a sour taste and as much as I'd love to return, I'm not sure I will.

It is awful how careless some people can be. I am so glad you have your Disney plans. You and your sweet kids are going to have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

We really enjoyed the singalong - even DH who hadn't seen the movie!
