I read about the preview parties (and the costs) on a thread here, as well. So I guess we shall see.

Could you post a link to the thread about the preview parties please? There's a lot of ROL threads at this point, but I haven't read much about the preview parties so I must have missed that one! Thanks!

Just checked - no FP+ listed for ROL or Sunset Safari for April 27

Is sunset safari slated to start April 22nd as well? I haven't read anything about that yet. If it is, that would be extremely awesome.

My best guess is the start-time of the first RoL show will be at or near that time.

Ok I am looking at the September calendar.... I see a few non party nights not having Wishes. Did they cut back on that too?

The travel agent calendar doesn't list Wishes, but as the Disney website updates September hours (day by day which makes me wanna pull my hair out), Wishes is on the schedule for the days where park doesn't close at 7 so far. Thank goodness.

I checked with IPO (concierge) in case they would make a reservation for us when they open, but was denied. They told me to check with them weekly as they are expecting info on it shortly. Proooobably not going to do that since they will book up quickly.... since thats the only request we had I think we are going to be very easy on them!

I am hesitant to make a decision - I pick my fps tonight, but the last day I'm onsite is a Monday, then I move offsite starting Tuesday. I had originally designated Tuesday as my AK day because it is not hard to get fps at 30 days out. Monday was my Epcot day, and it is EMH. Now I am torn because there will possibly be a ROL fp at some point. Would you flip flop the days? The only downside is I have a pre WS opening ADR for Monday am, but can't get one for Tuesday, and Monday IS pm EMH at Epcot. However, if I don't the chances of getting a ROL fp at 30 days out are slim to none.

You will be able to book your CHECK-OUT day as part of your initial on-site FP+.
You will THEN be able to book the rest of your OFF-SITE dates, at a rolling one-day-at-a-time, each at 60 days out.

You didn't give me any DATES, so I can only generalize:

1. When your Wed. check-in date is 60 days out, you can book Wednesday - Monday.
2. You can book that Tuesday when that date is 60 days out.

BUT- If that Tuesday is actually your WDW CHECK-OUT date, you can book it's FP+ as part of all of your initial on-site dates.

The IPO told you that they could not make the reservation for you? I was told that they could. Just trying to figure this out as I don't want to miss out on a reservation....thanks!

Minor update for those of you who are also waiting to see ANY developments....

The picture for "Animal Kingdom Special Activities" has changed from a Sci-Fi Drive-Inn pic to what looks like an African Dance Party.
Also, if you search "Animal Kingdom" from the main Disney World site search button (Not the Dining search)...."Animal Kingdom Special Activities" Has the category "Prix Fixe" next to it. The Fantasmic Dining package also comes up with this same "Prix Fixe" label when searched for in this same way.

The Itinerary Planning Office got hit bad when BOG opened for breakfast. The ressies went live online at 2:30 am and some some folks who counted on IPO making the ressie in the morning when they opened at 9 am were already shut out. So maybe they don't want that to happen again.

This has been the craziest Disney vacation I've ever planned. I woke up several mornings in a row waiting for Skipper Cantina to go live, and then we found out they weren't taking ADRs.
Now, I've been early every day waiting for Rivers of Light.
AND I'm sure I'll be up early trying to get a FP+ for Frozen at Epcot.

I can't complain too much though. I love discovering new things at DW!
