I've had nothing but positive experiences from emailing so I hope the same for you!

Well, someone from the executive office did call and leave a message with a call back number on my cell this afternoon. Was a bit surprised, truth be told, since there was no email reply and other than my name and email address, I did not provide any other specific contact details in the email. That said, my cell number is on my DME profile.

Anyhow, I will call back in the morning ... kinda wishing the call back number was toll free, but on the other hand, the long distance charge might just be worth it.

I just use my cell phone so there is no long distance charges. Of course, we don't even have a landline at our house...lol.

@ArielSRL ... being from Canada, whether I use the cell or the landline, it's still an international call. Turns out I had to leave a message, so was a very short call. I got a callback about 15 minutes later.

The CM already knew I had been able to book the Star Wars party, but did offer to help with any other planning we might still have. (This was a genuinely sincere offer, so I feel bad for the sarcasm, but we're two weeks out ... our plans were basically set months ago! For the record, on the phone I just said, "thanks, but we're good to go".)

The CM did say that George Kalogridis is very aware of the "dates and deadlines and planning" culture at WDW and the challenges it can cause compared to the more laid-back spontaneous atmosphere at DL (where George is from).

All in all, it was a positive phone call and the CM pointed out that both he and George had taken my comments as constructive as opposed to being negative ... best of all, not one mention of a "magic file"!

Just popping into the lounge to say hello from WDW. We arrived Monday and checked into POR on Tuesday. It's been very quiet compared to usual summer park crowds. We are here for a couple weeks so we can take it easy, but we don't even feel the need to rope drop. Got on Winne the Pooh today at 1:00 pm with barely a 15 min wait.
All parks have had less crowds. Maybe the super hot weather has kept some locals away.
Have enjoyed evenings at AK. It's been nice to see park at night. Tree of Life is beautiful. Haven't seen JB yet, going Sunday. The rides at night are fun and the street parties seem to be enjoyed by many. Lots of people dancing and having a blast.
Off to Cali Grill tonight for Wishes!

Just popping into the lounge to say hello from WDW. We arrived Monday and checked into POR on Tuesday. It's been very quiet compared to usual summer park crowds. We are here for a couple weeks so we can take it easy, but we don't even feel the need to rope drop. Got on Winne the Pooh today at 1:00 pm with barely a 15 min wait.
All parks have had less crowds. Maybe the super hot weather has kept some locals away.
Have enjoyed evenings at AK. It's been nice to see park at night. Tree of Life is beautiful. Haven't seen JB yet, going Sunday. The rides at night are fun and the street parties seem to be enjoyed by many. Lots of people dancing and having a blast.
Off to Cali Grill tonight for Wishes!

Will do! I forgot to add that the new Soarin is AWESOME!! And we saw lots of animals on evening safari. Went once at 9:00 and once at 8:30. Animals very active. Lions up walking around. A large antelope type animal ran around our vehicle. Lots of action both times we went on.
Rode Kali at night three times without getting off. No one waiting in line at 10:00 pm

Off topic but I made our last days' fp yesterday. We got everything we wanted including FEA! 3 weeks from yesterday TH package. I'm still holding out hope for ROLIn fact we have one for a week after that for a second one if by some change that miracle happens. If not I'll cancel a few days out and we'll just wing it for dinner that day. We'll grab qs in EPCOT and snacks in AK

Hey all. Contributing to the 700 cause. At a retreat this weekend and can't sleep. Go figure.

I have tried multiple times to ride Characters in Flight but it always got shut down for wind. Once I was the next group to ride and it was closed. Argh! One day.....

We leave in 4 days too, on Wednesday!!! Are you doing the Jungle Book show? I figure I might as well see it, since it will probably be the only time I can. Plus, I have sat through Captain EO multiple times, so how bad could JB be

I'm a little annoyed with myself. I bought tickets last Saturday at parksavers, saving almost $80 off each 7 day ph. I did this because it was said that the deal would end 7/31 and also, the deal went away for a few days but then came back, so I figured I'd better jump on it. Well now, Boardwalk ticketing has them for $10 less! Murphy's freakin law! Should've known as soon as I bought tix, they would end up cheaper somewhere! Oh well!

Since its's pretty much a foregone conclusion that RoL definitely won't be out within two weeks, I went ahead and dropped our Tusker House Jungle Book Package Breakfast ADR.

I also switched out our Primeval Whirl FPs to Jungle Book FPs ... as others have said, if we're there, might as well see it ... just not willing to pay an upcharge on an expensive character meal too.
