I've been thinking about the concerns with RC#1 and after using it for a week with a 7 and almost 3 year old this is what I think. If I owned the stroller and was using it at home everyday I would not hesitate to keep using it for a looong time to come. It really is in great shape for the use it gets. Hopefully that eases the minds of some of the the swappers coming up to use it.

Hello everyone.. ITA with Zarvgirl. The actual rip is the one of the seats has pulled apart from the seam a little and not much of an issue. My mother brought with her liquid stitch which should help it from unravelling(sp) anymore. But it really has not been an issue. This is a great stroller and really does push easy. As soon as I get home I will email Pmomma the pictures so she can decide for herself.

But we are having a wonderful time. It is raining today with a chance of a Tornado:scared1: and we had the scare of our life when we went to DTD and I swear a bolt of lightning missed us by centimeters. We were all shaking... lightning around here is just more intense:scared1: But we are all safe and sound.

Old #4 is in the box:

HOW FUNNY!!! A Semi to deliver it and I toss it in the back of my SUV (sorry about the tushy shot, my DS thought it would be funny to include that in the shot. Gotta love that boy of mine!

OK, Here is where we are...

#2 has a filthy seat and bubblegummed seat belt. I was going to order the two seat liners plus include the seatbelt from old #4 so we had a decent seatbelt on #2. Well we can't do that because the seat belts are sewn in and can't be removed. Instep called and the seats are in but go to find out, it is the wrong seat so now we are playing email tag. I'm trying to just get an entirely new seat shipped to me (one that fits the stroller). Hopefully by tomorrow we will have all the details worked out and a new seat will be mailed to me. What I need from #2 swappers is first--please use a towel between your lil ones and the stroller. I'm so sorry this has happened but I AM on top of it. I would like one upcoming swapper to volunteer to recieve the new seat and put it on the stroller. It requires removing 12 screws (phillips screwdriver), putting the new seat on, and putting the screws back in the frame. Plus, sending me the old seat so I can try to get it cleaned professionally and using it for another stroller if this arises again. ANY VOLUNTEERS?

Old #4 has more issues than we initally thought. The front fork is bent, the weld is broken on the front wheel, the bearings are going out of the back wheels, the seat is torn, and the rubber handle needs repaired plus the tires are bald from the constant use. My lovin' DH is going to try to repair it but in all honesty, it is worn out. So with this being said, I think I am going to retire it. Which bites but we can still use it for a back-up, incase a stroller goes missing until we have the funds to replace a missing stroller but I honesty don't think at this point we can get another 8 months of use out of poor old #4. I am a STICKLER on keeping safe and sound strollers for my swappers.

So here is the plan. I've reports that #1 and #2 has bad handles so this weekend I am buying bicycle tape and will send it to one swapper from those swaps to recover the handle rubber--ANY VOLUNTEERS from Swap #1 & #2?

Plus I am still wondering about the string issue on #1. One swapper reported there was an issue but the last two swapper reported there isn't anything wrong. ANYONE??? Could someone give me a complete run down on #1..is it just the handle issue? Does it have seat issues?

My-oh-my..trying to keep on top of this is CRAZY! ;)

Any suggestions? Does this sound good to swappers in #1 and #2.

I have both 1 and 2 in two weeks so if nobody in front of me wants to do it then I'll take care of both of them, and I might be able to get the stains and gunk out of the seat on #2 once I'm home, I'm fairly good at that stuff. Can the whole seat from #4 not be salvaged and sent to #2? If the rip were stitched up maybe that would work. Get what you can from that sucker if you can't repair it- tires that aren't bald, the basket underneath- anything that can be removed without damage. One recommendation on the bicycle tape- get the non-sticky stuff. :thumbsup2 You just have to wrap it tighter and it will shrink on its own to fit the handlebar and then nobody has to deal with the adhesive gunk all over their hands and stuff. Thanks for staying on top of things!!

Miprender- Can you do a test on #1 for me if you haven't already? Just lay the seats back and have the kids test them out for a few minutes (or as long as they'll cooperate ;)) so we can know if the string is a problem or not when it comes to napping kids? Between that and the pics we should know exactly what's going on. Thanks so much!

Yikes on the lightning, stay safe!

I wanted to comment, our girls managed to fall asleep several times in the stroller in the same seat position that I left it in for the week.

I didn't change the seat because it was in a good position not because of any concerns with it.

Most of the time it was the youngest but also our oldest did a couple of times too. Our youngest was almost always asleep by the time we got back to the room on our evenings out. But also during the day in the parks, our youngest is missing from several photopass pics as she was sound asleep in stroller!!

If I was more computer savy I could send you a picture of her sleeping, as I thought I should document how she (DD2) spent her first trip to WDW!!:rotfl:

Thanks! Who was it who said the kids kind of caved into each other? I am guessing by recent reports that it's no longer an issue? :confused3 That's great news if so!

If anything comes in after ryan840 has it I'm sure my hubby can do it he's an engineer after all and pretty handy with a screwdriver, even though he has been electricuted a couple of times:scared1:. Actually my 5 year old will probably tell him he can do it too he is the handy manny guy around my house, loves his tools. Hopefully it will be in for ryan840 though, that seatbelt is important for those little ones. Just let me know if you need my help. You are always working so hard at keeping this swap going parkers mamma I don't know how you do it. Thank you again.

We seem to have a lot of engineers here, DH is one as well. He's never been electrocuted though, but I have been a few times. It's really tingly! ;) I doubt we'll use the seat belts though, my kids are too interested in walking every 15 feet then sitting for the next 15 and so on... Gotta love those attempts at control!

Couldn't bring myself to cancel my free room in July so am taking the kids myself, so am pmming you again Maddi, sorry for the flip flopping!!

Wonderful. I was freaking out but it doesn't sound like it has any real issues. Any suggestions on how I can get the seat repaired since I am in Ohio.

I do think what is happening (at least with #4 it is evident...it looks as though someone left their little one either set up into the seat to sit down instead of being picked up by mommy/daddy and set in the seat. there is a small shoe imprint right in the edge of the tear (which is on the center seam). Is this where the tear is on #1 and #2?

AWESOME! I'm actually picking up the bicycle tape tonight so I can get it packed and shipped down. I'll ship it to you in the morning so it will be waiting for you at WDW when you get there.

Still working on the seat for #2...hopefully good news tonight.
