WOW...I guess ppl do have lives other than Disboards. 40+ pms w/requests still sitting in my PM box.

I guess I DIS way to much!:rotfl:

I see my stroller sitting days have been tweaked!!! I will keep my eye on them to see if things keep tweaking!!!!:goodvibes

I need to go to bed now!!! Work was crazy....and I have finished my supper so off I go.:goodvibes

Ok, well I guess the person in front of me dropped out. So, the stroller will be sitting for 5 days. i'm worried that it won't be there when I arrive. Someone calm my fears please...

The stroller will be fine. Contact the person that will be leaving the stroller for you. Make sure they are dropping it off at your resort with your name and pick up date on it. If they can have them email you the claim ticket number. This way it will be easier for luggage/bell services to retrieve the item for you.:thumbsup2

Easiest and best thing to do to calm your fears. Have them leave the stroller at YOUR resort. When making arrangements with the person in front of you, ask them to PLEASE get a claim ticket number. Have them put it in a envelope with your name and ressie number on the front of the envelope. After they have done this, ask them to take it to the check-in counter and leave it there for you. WHen you check in, they( the cast member) will give you the envelope and just take it over to Luggage services and pick up the stroller.

Remember everyone...a claim ticket no matter what. If they refuse to give you one, ask to speak to a manager (nicely) explain to them you are leaving the stroller for an incoming friend. They will give you a claim ticket number OR ask the manager his/her name, the date and time. Tell the manager you will leave this information for your friend at check-in and if there is any problems, your friend will get hold of him so he can help locate the stroller.

Trust me, they will find you a claim ticket...as they don't want to be bothered like that. :)

Little does my DH know, but we WILL be going back next year, too! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I think we can swing another trip in April, but we would have to drive from RI. I have never done this but it would save us alot $$ since I need 5 tickets plus a car rental.

But who knows... I have a whole year to plan:surfweb:

I posted on one of the crazy days awhile back...(like there are any non-crazy ones :lmao: )... and it may have been overlooked. But if you need me, I can stroller-sit during our trip Oct 18-25.

Good luck finding #4.

I read the email about contacting the swappers before and after no later than 3 weeks before your trip and I have a question...

Do people usually wait until then, or do they contact the surrounding swappers much earlier (say 6 months)?

Also,I think there is a 2 week gap before I pick up my stroller (unless the swaps get consolidated or someone new joins). Will luggage services hold it that long if there is no stroller-sitter?

Thanks,
Laural

I haven't driven as an adult, but I remember driving as a kid and loving it! The anticipation really kept us going. My parents say that the drive down is nothing because you're excited about getting there...it's the drive back that's a killer.

I was a guilty party. I saw I had a message 2 days ago and DS (2 1/2) came running by with something he shouldn't have had. I had to run. I forgot to check it next time I was on! You're the only one that ever PM's me so I haven't gotten in the habit of looking daily :) I'll get there sooner or later! lol

Okay, this is totally OT....

I guess I'm not as good a multi-tasker as I thought. I almost smoked out the entire house trying to make one (count 'em, 1) grilled cheese sandwich. All because I thought I could make the sandwich and post on the Dis.:surfweb:

Wrong... I only turned back around because I could smell the burn.. (I'm standing with my back to the stove, using my laptop on the kitchen counter).

Thank goodness for Vent Fan Boost!

Just had to share - nighty night..

You can contact them at any point but the minimum is 3 weeks before you leave. You can't wait let's say you are leaving Monday. You can't contact everyone today because the person before you has already left. By contacting everyone 3 weeks before your trip..this will give enough time to catch the person before you since they will be leaving around that time...KWIM?

Ohhhh that is one of the other things....as soon as I see who is a DIS'er and who isn't, the calendars will be consolidated. Actually it is already done by a wonderful Swapper-mwatson-we are just waiting to see the response to the PMs before posting it.

:rotfl::rotfl:been there done that! I actually looked at who hadn't read and really wondered about you since I see you on the thread-addicted like the rest of us.

one of the reasons for the 10day thing...it give ppl time to have a life yet check in on us.

Well, it's not that I have a life, it's that I've lost my mind! :rotfl2:

DS #2 arrives in 7 weeks and that's not helping my brainpower these days either (and might delay my reading any posts around June 19) but I'll be around and in touch as much as possible!
