Sorry that happened to youI was being a Curious Carla (aka running procrastinator) and had to read what it was about and I think you were very unfairly judged. You did not comment with malintent nor was the topic really that big of deal imo. You keep being you, girl! Haters gonna hate
I would have never considered myself someone that would post to message boards online, fearing mean (or crazy) people, but this little running community has been so awesome! I'm really grateful for it, so please don't let it deter you from posting!
Ok... now it's run time!
I had to vent about something non running for a second. I was on the dining board today for first time in a long time because it's ADR week. And I made the mistake of answering a thread over there and then getting responses that questioned my integrity. Ugh I forgot what other boards can be like. I think I'm gonna bow out of reading these other threads for awhile again.
We are all human, not Disney planning robots otherwise we wouldn't need these boards. Trips don't go as planned and planning is hard...cut me some slack that mde didn't work for me in one scenario (the same scenario of the thread title.) Ok venting over. I'd rather do it here than stoke any flames. I just feel sheety about myself for no good reason right now. Blargh!!!!
OK seriously? That was ridiculous. You clearly said that you asked when you got there to avoid any confusion and came prepared to pay. You were obviously not trying to get something over on Disney nor were you trying to help someone else pull a fast one. You just shared your similar experience. And the idea that you put some CM into a difficult situation is ludicrous. Your kiddo was barely over the age of 2. No CM was sitting there thinking, "Gosh, I bet that kid is 2 years and 23 days. I should be charging them."Honestly, there are people on this board who are crazy and incredibly judgmental about stuff and they do assign themselves as the "Disney police". It's absurd to think that you were trying to be dishonest or promote dishonesty in someone else, in fact, I'd say just the opposite. Don't let the haters get you down. Some prolific posters on this board pride themselves in putting others down so they can feel superior. It's why I also largely stick to the running threads since I rarely see drama here.
Ooooomg. So angry for you.
I've started to pull back on posting after getting dragged into arguments here ("here" sometimes being the running section) - it's just not worth it. People just love to argue or act holier-than-thou and I am NOT here for that crap.
Seriously, they act like you're cackling about how you beat the system. It's ridiculous.

Yay!!!! Ok this is what's really important!!!
13! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
The "ignore" function has been my friend over the past few months. This also makes me sad. I can understand disagreements- if we were all the same life would be boring... BUT either learn to say your (not you, but the disbullies) view point respectfully or don't say anything. Easy as that! I think it's just s sign of some people's unhappiness or insecurities.
I had to go and read that thread just to see what was going on! That type of response is the thing I don't like about forums, particularly the way some people just find any excuse to put you down. It's not even like you were telling someoone what to do - just sharing an experience (which is what I usually do when posting so as to avoid confrontation).
The shades look great, awesome photo too!
