Rope drop rain expected—how does that work for SDD

We plan to rope drop SDD & forecast shows rain. I know Florida weather changes frequently, but in case it IS raining at rope drop...how does that work??
Do people line up in the rain & wait for it to open (sounds awful)? Do they let people line up at all? Does it run in the rain?
We didn’t get FastPasses for SDD & don’t plan on staying all day, so this is our one chance to ride without a crazy wait.

When we were there in February, it was running in the driving rain. Though the coaster had been slowed down.*

*ETA: The CMs at the attraction told us the ride had been slowed, have no clue if they were telling the truth.

You can't slow down a coaster.

We rode it in the POURING rain twice last summer. So much fun!

I am pretty sure most of the coasters run in the rain (no lightning). One of my funnest experiences was riding expedition everest in the rain.
