OK, We have decided that next February we are going to do 8 days at Beach Club Villas and 8 days at Saratoga Springs.

We are now baffled as to which rooms to go for at the resorts :confused3
Anyone who's stayed at these places could you advise as to which are the best areas to stay in please?

These places are so big what are the pros and cons to the blocks??

Many thanks for all your help xxx :thumbsup2

I'm not sure if you are asking what size villa or what location. If you are asking location....it would help to know the size unit you are booking. My advice is to just see what you get. As you mentioned, they are so large, and there are pros and cons to every location, although, I have never had anything at DVC that was absolutely horrible. Heck, I've only had one that was just not spectacular.

I agree with Diane. I've never had a bad room. It's really dicey to ask for room choices. DVC usually runs pretty much at capacity, so they really can't promise you any room in particular - it will so much depend on who is or is not checking out of rooms when you get there. Your best bet is just to think of a first and 2nd preference - maybe non smoking and upper floor, or something like that. If you get too detailed and they don't have it, they will end up sticking you anywhere.

BTW, BCV isn't that large IMO...only 200 some units. :confused3

Thanks for your replies.

Sorry I wasn't very clear, I meant the location and we will be staying in a 2 bed villa. This will be the first time we visit as DVC members, can't wait :woohoo:

When talking SSR, Congress Park is the place to request. You can ask for views of Downtown Disney. And sometimes can even catch the fireworks from Pleasure Island. Great location to walk to Downtown Disney. That area has its own quiet pool.

As for BCV, you want to be closest to the lobby... the villas are placed so far in the back, and a wet trip back from the pool, you could have icecycles hanging from your nose by the time you get back to the rooms on the far end.

A helpful place to visit... parkinfo2go .com has maps of the BCV with room numbers, ratings, photos of the views, etc...

We liked the rooms facing the quiet pool, they were the least quiet but the other side had faint views of the fireworks and lots of forest.

Good Luck!

Thanks so much for your replies. That website was really useful, at lteast now we have an idea of what to request!!
