Room Request Process

We have rented points from a DVC member (thanks popes ! ) and will be staying at a VWL studio in Jan. How do we make a room request?? How far in advance?? And more importantly how do we obtain info about the layout of the resort i.e. rooms numbers, views, proximity to elevators, bus stop, etc... Would like to have a view of MK for the DS's. We certainly don't want to look at the dumpster! We have heard that check-in time also makes a difference. Does it?? Any insight or experiences are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You should have the member you are renting from make your requests. It's best to make those with the reservation.

Keep requests simple- pool view, 3 rd floor, non-smoking. The simpler the more likely for success. List them in order of their importance to you.

It is extremely difficult to ask for a specific room (as well as trying on the CM’s). With the new room ready policy, guests have reported getting several choices at check-in and this may than help
