Rosen Plaza I-Drive

I've got a 4 night stay at the Rosen Plaza on I Drive for a work conference. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Mainly thinking about reasonably priced food close, I have a couple days I'm on my own for lunch.

I was there four nights for a work conference last year and we loved the place. The pool and poolside bar are great. They have a good steakhouse in there and the lobby bar was a great time every night. The bartender Shawn there was great! It's been nearly a year and I still remember him.

There was a lot of other places nearby as well. It's right across the street from Pointe Orlando which reminded us of City Walk, but on a much smaller scale. Lots of bars and smaller attraction type places like Main Event. We really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant over there called Kavas.

The only (slight) downside was the rooms were a little dated. But it was minor in the grand scheme of things. Overall I'd say you'll definitely enjoy your time there.

That's a great area with tons of dining options within walking distance.

It was a good trip. Plenty of food, at reasonable prices for Orlando. Lyft to Citywalk was $7 each way while Uber was $35. Room was fine, not phenomenal, but certainly not bad either. Only having double beds would have ruled it out for a family trip, but fine for solo.

Harris Rosen was a legend in the Orlando hospitality industry.

I had a couple of ride share drivers who worked in Rosen properties. In his 80s he'd still pick up trash guests dropped. He knew many employees by name.
