The post about the robbery reminded me that I got a tip from a cast member at the General Store at OKW last month. She said in addition to signing your room key on the back, write "Check ID" with a Sharpie to inhibit someone from using it illegally in case you lose it. I did it immediately, and it did give me some peace of mind.

When we were paying for our meal Saturday at the Trail's End with the room CC, the waitress asked DH for either a Picture ID or something else, can't remember. Being at WDW isn't as carefree as it once was (or was it?).

Also, if you're staying for a long duration,
periodically check your statement with the front desk. This can circumvent any unauthorized charging activity or other
hidden surprises.

Good idea thank you for sharing.::yes:: :wave2:

Ah, and now there's another reason to pack the old trusty Sharpie!

Thx JoePoe.
