From what I've read, it seems like most people who have any sort of motion sickness issue with rides can generally handle some roller coasters but not simulators. I'm the complete opposite -- I can handle simulators but not roller coasters. Is anyone else similar to me?
On a coaster, I know it's real. On a simulator, if it's really bothering me, I can look off to the side or close my eyes, and the motion goes away or becomes very mild. I did this on the Simpsons at Universal last year. It has a huge simulated drop. I hate drops, but if I looked to the side or behind me at the ride vehicle or closed my eyes. I was fine. I am slowly building up to keeping my eyes on the drop the entire length of it now. I am going to try Splash and Space Mountain next week. 7DMT and BMTRR finally quit bothering me last trip. I attribute it to being desensitized by Forbidden Journey after riding it 4 times.
