Roll in showers at Pop ?

Hi this will be our first time at Pop, my question is do the rooms at Pop that have roll in showers all have a king bed or are there rooms that have 2 double beds? Sorry if this has been answered already I did a search and could not find the answer. TIA.

I just stayed in a room at POP in the fifties section on the third floor that had an awesome view of the Bowling Pin pool with my parents and we happend to, by chance, be staying in the accessible room and ours had a king bed. The roll in shower had ample room to allow for what you would need to do. Also, in the room we stayed in, the vanity sink area had a privacy curtain to kind of separate the two areas from each other [i.e. the bed area from the vanity area]. Not so sure if there's a room like this that has the two double beds or not. Hope I helped and of course it couldn't hurt to call.

All the roll-in shower rooms have king beds. (Although not all king rooms have roll-in showers.) All roll-in shower rooms are connecting rooms. There are accessible rooms (basically reg. bathrooms with support bars) with two double beds. We were just there in October and had a room with roll-in shower. PM me if you would like more info.

Thanks so much for the answers. One more question. What do they do if you have 3 people in your party, if they are all king beds? We do need the roll in shower for mom. It will be DM,DD (14) and myself. Thanks so much for your help.

I probably shouldn't tell you what they did in our case because we had 4 in our party. I think they'd do the same for you, but they might not. I'll just say all was handled well for our group.

Also, before I went I had the same concerns. I found a post where someone explained what the resort did, and other posters jumped all over her for posting it. I think the concern is that people that don't need the roll-in shower will abuse the system.

So, you can PM me if you want to know what happened in my case. Or you can call the Special Room requests number directly once you have a reservation, which is what is what I did: (407) 939-7807 and press #1 or (407) 939-7670 (TTY).

Thanks so much for all the help. Mom does need a roll in shower as she is not allowed to put weight on a foot and her knee doesn't bend enough to get it over the edge of a tub.

Yes...PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT post what has been done for your family. Things may have changed, people do read this forum and abuse information they find out, and indeed there are different accommodations depending on how many people are in your party. I know of one person, for instance, who received a rollaway bed in their w/c accessible roll-in shower room at Pop a few years ago when they had a party of 3. POFQ has adapted their roll-in shower accessible rooms to provide two double beds...so what someone experienced on their last trip may not be the same for yours. You will be accommodated though, so don't worry as everyone will get a bed.---Kathy

I agree. I feel like Disney does a great job at making your situation work for you. I hope they continue to keep their special needs phone number open. It's great being able to talk with them directly once your reservations are set.
