Well, OK. Umm, those Dudettes ARE pretty light drinkers.
It wasn't but 15 minutes before they had beer spilled on their cute official matching shirts ... and their hair ... and, well, the whole page. Sorry:rolleyes:

:p It was a good night. Great way to kick off the cruise. Even got a few pictures to get that album started! Great meeting you Barb and Sally. Your family is lovely.

I thought I would get on to give my side of the story first ....Sandy and Lori are really great gals....just loved them and their husbands and Katie. Of course we had to keep Lori from throwing onion rings at a straw to see if she could make a ringer...or did I get that wrong. Oh, well it is a good story!!

If the rest of the gals on this board is as nice as Lori and Sandy we are going to have a great cruise. I took my camera and left it in the car....but Lori did take extra pictures.

We were late getting there...first the Air Force game let out and it was bumper to bumper, then an accident blocking one side of the road and then we got lost. Otherwise everything went like clock work...hee hee

Can't wait until we all meet again in a couple weeks....it was great fun! Patti sorry you couldn't be there and especially since Barb has convienced Sandy you are the trouble maker..

Oh, BTW. I had the bartender make these up, according to this recipe, and Sandy said that these actually tasted very much like the Konk Koolers on Castaway Cay, only a little better!

Konk Kooler

1/2 can Cream of Coconut
3 ounces light rum
3 ounces dark rum
1/2 of a 12oz can frozen passion fruit juice concentrate (Welches)
4 ounces orange juice
2-3 cups of ice
Add all together in a blender until very fine and smooth.

Oooh, another mischief maker among us. That was actually Moms idea. No wonder Barb and Patty are so wild.

Wow, you go to a weekend conference and get back and wow....

O.k. let's see..

First and foremost...Denine and Jerry, I am crying telling my husband about your news. We tried for 3 1/2 years to get Clare and she finally came through the magical way of fertility treatment and we too have been talking of adopting another. Wow. I just can't keep saying it. For practical matters...I did most of my baby shopping via the internet ( love this). The best car seat in my book is a Britax. We have two of these and are getting ready to purchase boosters. They are FABULOUS. Hey, our anniversary is in March as well (25th) and 8 years!!!

Darren: We too will be around Disney until Nov. 3. We are staying at the Dolphin.

Rated our site a 4...Haha, just kidding, a 5 of course.

Roll Call: It is I...Krista (35)who started this age thing...
David (38) heehee
and Clare (3)

One last thing...Way to go Garry, there are way too many people running red lights. (O.K., admission, David is standing over my shoulder, laughing hysterically) I am the queen of speeding and light running.

Krista

Just got home from the great Bon Voyage party. What a great time. I loved meeting everyone. Boy are we in for a great time!

Sandy sure saw right through me! Didn't take her long to see I am the innocent one!
;)

Wedding was ok. I decided to wear what I wore to the wedding on semi formal night. I got more compliments.
OK Here's my news....
I am going to be a grandmother in May! I'M TOO YOUNG!!!! I need more time to get used to being a mother in law.

Enough of that for now.

Denine Name: Kaleigh Ann or Victoria Rose... I love the name Victoria but that could end up being a Vicky and I don't care for that. (goes back to high school days, didn't care too much for a Vicky in my class, funny how things stick with you.)

OK what did you do to the poor Dudettes? Did we get a drink? Mustaches and beards perhps? The poor people at my table all they heard about was DCL, DIS and you guys! Everyone knows that Denine is getting a baby girl!

ANd now for the lecture_the one weekend I can't be glued to the computer you guys talk up a storm!!!! Yes I am whining again.

Talk soon!

Denine, I love the name Laila Catrice. My neighbors' daughter is Laila and she is the most wonderful girl (now in med school and only 21!). I also find I like having different names for my kids -- except Ian -- he is forever known as Ian W. in school. I always get nice comments on their names and there shouldn't ever be two of them in their classes (hopefully). Just my opinion for my kids.

Wish you could bring her - but she also has to be 12 weeks old before she can cruise anyway. Maybe in 2 years (I can't do it next year) we'll all have to cruise again!

Glad you guys had such good times at all the gatherings last night. We once again were at the ice arena! I have the worst sinus infection right now I can hardly breathe! It'll get better before we go......................

Congratulations on being a grandma!!!! Now you can spoil and send home!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you all had a good time at the get togethers before the real event!

Denine: Can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about her. I don't give opinions on names - remember my son's first name is Turner!

DD#1: Being a grandmother isn't bad news! Only special people are chosen to be grandparents!

Looks like the 90 degree weather in Charlotte is finally gone. It will only be 80 today and 71 tomorrow!!

Got a lot to do today. Won't be back on til the evening. Everyone have a fantastic day - one day closer!!!!

Dudette #1; Nope, no mustaches or beards and I did try and dry you off as best I could.

Diana, get well NOW!

Denine, still so excited for you.

Mom, you're very welcome for the pins. Party favors you know. My party 'craft' idea didn't fly.:p I thought the girls would get bored! Did you get put in charge of the ribbons?

Krista, nice to hear from you again!
Hi to everyone!
Lori

Oh yes Denine. Your baby names. (to refresh everyone memory...)
Danielle Marie,
Victoria Rose,
Kaleigh Anne,
Danielle Victoria
& Laila Catrice.

I love Laila and Danielle the most, but all are very pretty. It's great that you have a few choices going in. You can say them while looking at her and see which one fits her best.
Oh how wonderful.

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't posted for the last couple of days, I've been busy, busy, busy. I'm sorry if i'm going to disappoint a bit by saying that I won't be wearing an actual tuxedo on the formal nights but I have bought a nice new black suit, white shirt and bow tie for the occasions so I should look nice and smart!!!

Mmm, dudette #1 & wildernessgirl there are so many tales I could tell you about Epcot and the parks from working there, I will have to rack my brain and think of some to tell you on the cruise!!!

But in the meantime here are some questions I have been asked and things that I've heard people say at the parks:

A couple walking into the UK pavillion: "Ah, This must be the Italian pavillion." At which point I felt an uncontrolable urge to stand at the top of the hill between the UK & France shouting out "Mamma Mia, welcome to the Italiano Pavillion getta your ice creamo here!"

People have also confused the UK Pavillion for the Dutch Pavillion  , the Norway Pavillion and the Canadian Pavillion.

Also international cast members often get asked many of the following questions:

How did you get here? (by plane!)
We heard that you all live underground, is that true?
Are you all actors?
How do you manage to do that accent so well?
Do you go home everyday after work?
Does everyone in your country wear clothes like that? (You will understand this better if you have seen the UK Food and beverage costume! Mustard Yellow Shirt, Knee length Knickers and Knee length white socks)

Obviously i'm not trying to be cruel here, as all international CM's expect to be asked questions like this and are happy to answer them. I worked at Disney (a hope to work for Disney again) because I love meeting people and always enjoyed talking to people about my country and how I came to work for Disney.

by the way if anyone does have any questions about the WDW International Program please feel free to ask me!

Hello!
I worked this morning, didn't sleep well again last night. I am tired!
The name choices are down to 3:
Danielle Marie
Victoria Rose
Kaleigh Anne
Jerry wasn't too thrilled with Laila Catrice and we decided Danielle Victoria was too long to go with our last name.

We get to see her again tomorrow around 4PM. I can't wait!!!!!!

We still have to get ready to leave on Friday. At least the luggage is out of the attic.

DD#1: Congratulations, Grandma!!!!!

That's weird. In just one day, we jumped from #3 to #25 on the ratings game. I wonder if a bunch of people popped in and gave us ratings of 1 to drop us.
Whatever. I give up.:o
Julie, any other activity ideas?

OK Darren, here's one. How on earth do you manage to get that accent to come through in your writing! :teeth:

OK all you Epcot fans out there!!! Here are some fun questions for you to test your knowledge on!

To start, which attractions are the following lines of dialog from?

1) "surprise tests? , yeah, pick one"
2) "...your late!, and you think about that next time"
3) "think of all those tiny lawsuits!"
4) "a list to fill you in, a formula for..."
5) "and as out appetite for information and knowledge grew..."

and some general questions...

6) When & where might you hear the song by Cusco called "Flute Battle" played?

7) Which company used to sponsor The Living Seas?

8) What is the name of the quick service restaurant in Japan?

9) The current narrator on Spaceship Earth is Jeremy Irons but who used to narrate this attraction before it's rehab?

and an easy one to finish...
10) Mission Space, which is due to open next year, is being built on the site that previously contained which popular Epcot attraction? (Interestingly enough whilst working at Epcot I helped out at a Guest Flow study for Mission Space, they where testing to see if they could load the preshow rooms efficiently and that the attraction loading sequence & lines would work. Involved a lot of walking around but was very interesting!)

Darren, Loved hearing all that you have heard. Amazing!

Some answers: 1. Test Track
#2 Cranium Command?
#3 Honey I shrunk the Audience
#9 Walter Cronkite?-I wondered who that was that replaced him.
