I'll go next:

Me (Diana) 42 sahm ("retired" civil engineer)
DH (Greg) 43 runs an aluminum welding wire manufacturing co.

4 kids (Ian 10; Alina 6; Lianna 4 (5 in Dec.); Annika 3)

Married 16 fabulous years (we really were meant for each other!)

US citizens living in Canada and loving it. Expecting to move back next summer sometime - but don't really know for sure.

My parents are joining us: Garry - radiologist and Penny (my step mother but really one of my best friends) - oncology nurse.

My son's friend Oliver (10) is coming with us also. He lives here but is a British citizen and will most likely move back to England next summer also.

We did this cruise in Oct. 2000 but the youngest two were too young for the clubs so this should be alot different for us. We are looking forward to some adult time.

Beth - we are bringing a soft sided rolling cooler on board (my dad and Penny are also). I think they just don't want hard sided Coleman type coolers.

I think I will just let you two fight it out....I know this won't happen because Patti ( she changed the way I spell her name but she can't change me) is a softy and doesn't like to fight with her baby sister...

This cruise must be different in the way they dress....on the Alaska one I bet there weren't a dozen guys in tux's and I saw all kinds of dresses on the women...even pants suits.

I know what you mean Patty about being addicted to this message board!

I am sitting here watching our screen at work and it is showing
binding restrictions for almost all the southern coast states. Which in the world of insurance means we will not bind any new coverage on cars because of the weather. Must be something brewing down there. Yikes!!

Hey Mom who is your favorite!

heeheeheeheeheeheee

Darren, I'm guessing that you have seen these before, or even better ... but just in case you haven't, here is a link to some 'behind the scenes' pictures on the Magic. It includes pictures of the crew quarters that will make you appreciate that category 11 cabin! LOL
The Hidden Magic

I hope you know Patty and I tease each other constantly. That is
why we are best friends. We are not really serious. We have always been really close because there are only a few years between us. I love her dearly and don't know what I would ever do without her. You are going to love her sense of humor when you meet her.

Beside she has had to live with the fact that I am Mom's favorite!

:p :p :p

Ok, next.... I am a lerker only check in couple times here and there...

Myself Lori 36, sahm
DH Dave 35, Builder
DS Justin 14 Freshman (almost 15)
DD Chelsea 11 6th Grade (almost 12)
DD Aly 9 4th Grade

This is our 4th cruise, first with disney, and the kids' first cruise...

Kids are looking forward to meeting new friends. I see there are alot of girls for my youngest (9) Aly. We met another Laurie and her daughter Kristin last week for lunch and the girls hit it off. We both live in WI about 30-45 min. away from each other. Can't remember her name on this board though....

Can't wait to be there.....

DH & DS will also be wearing tuxes.

See ya all soon!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Gee Barb, you were bringing tears to my eyes until I got to the favorite of Mom's part (Barb doesn't really even belong to Mom)

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

HeeHee....that really was a very sweet thing to say. You're my best friend too. Do you think we're making anybody cry out there?

DreamsDoComeTrue (Lori is it?) - Thanks for the link to the great pictures they are a real insight! It does make my catagory 11 stateroom seem like a luxury suite!!! :teeth:

Do you know, I think the moon is going broke, last time I heard it was down to it's last quarter!!! HA HA HA (can't take credit for that joke as anyone who has been to Cosmic Rays at the Magic Kingdom will know)

Ok, here goes:
Ted, 51(today), Sandy, 49
Our third Disney cruise, 1st one for our 25th anniversary. Been married for 27 wonderful years. Have twin 22 year old daughters, Stacey and Heidi, who are Seniors in College. Ted is a Right of Way Agent and I am a "retired paralegal" who is currently working as a "domestic goddess". Ok, ok, a housewife.

Darren, just wanted to say I loved reading about your Disney background. I hope everything works out for you for DCL. I know it is A LOT of work and very demanding. It takes very special people to be able to put up with so much.

We won't ask for an upgrade. We honestly love our secret porthole room. I have known several people ask for an upgrade and they have had to pay more.

Ok, us next!

Me: Julie 32 homemaker former teacher
DH: Garry 42 police sergeant
DD: Makenzie 3 the child that doesn't sleep
DS: Garry 1 aka "the Big Guy"

This will be DH, DD, and mine 3rd cruise on Disney and DS 2nd. We have late seating and are in a secret porthole room. Hubby will be wearing a tux and will also have his suit along too. Can't wait till the cruise. We will be at WDW on thursday the 17th and 18th too. When we return from the cruise we will spend Sat and Sun back at the world!

Old McMickey had a boat E-I-E-I-O and on his boat he had a mouse E-I-E-I-O, with a squeak squeak here and a squeak squeak there, here a squeak there a squeak everywhere a squeak squeak, Old McMickey had a boat E-I-E-I-O

That takes care of Donald, Pluto, and Minnie

Denine: What facility to do wark at? The place in Berea is Amazon Trail. Do you have a time preference?

Happy birthday Ted!

Old McMickey bought some traps, e-i- (oh my gosh, did I 'type' that out loud?) With a snap snap here, ... STOP me!

Getting punchy today, sorry.

I have officially started pre trip preparations. I called and put a vacation hold on the newspaper and sent in the mail hold card to the post office. Anything else I can get done this far in advance?

Now a thought to ponder ... you know how "it all started with a mouse" ... well, what if it had all started with, say, a snake? Would our kids be wearing long foam snake tongues instead of mouse ear hats???

I'm SORRY Julie. That was so mean of me!
OK, Old McMickey had a boat e-i-e-i-o. And on that boat he had a pixie, e-i-e-i-o. With a sprinkle, sprinkle here, and a sprinkle, sprinkle there, sprinkle here, sprinkle there, sprinkle, sprinkle everywhere. Old McMickey had a boat. E.I.E.I.O!

I didn't think it was mean. I thought it was sorta funny. Thank you for thinking of my feelings, but no need to apologize. See what a big family we are! We act like real sisters and brothers! This is great! I can't wait to meet all of you! ! !

Happy Birthday to Ted!
