The Dudettes had a great time on Saturday for Bonnie's Birthday. We all went to Smithville (a quaint old shopping center) and had dinner at "Fred & Ethel's" Pub. Joyce already warned Bonnie to stop talking about the cruise because I am getting really excited
I bought my favorite wine an "Asti" and can't wait to share it

Okay, no docs here. Not even the pant kind. Believe it or not, I NEVER did get an excursion brochure. Thank goodness I had one already!!!! Did get the confirmation by mail on our parasailing at CC, though. Shocked you didn't I, Lori? Looks like Nervous Nellie is going to do it. Welcome Dudette 3! I still haven't picked out a wine yet. Tried a Rocky Mtn brand last night and thought that I was going to die. It was a "honey" kind. All you could taste was honey. Yuck! Do I ever love you, Dudette 2. I love Asti. Thinking about bringing one myself if I can't find a Colo. specialty.

RE DOCS: None yet. Will start calling my next door neighbor several times a day from work to see if they came! Or maybe I'll tell her to give me a call if the Fed Ex guy shows. She knows them all-UPS man, mailman etc.

I now have 3 bottles of wine- a full bodied burgandy type from NJ, a very dry white by Tomasello called Vidal Blanc and a third From Chadds Ford Winery in PA near my son's house a Pinot Gregio-absolutley delicious! Mushroom Festival today where my son lives (the mushroom capital of the world). Wine tasing and mushroom soup tasting 1/2 the day away. I put on 10 lbs just from that. Funny thing is I don't drink much as wine makes me sneeze.

I hope all had a great weekend! I see # 3 hasn't been back yet. Shall we take bets as to whether or not she can do another post? Tee Hee!

(But if I got one, do you really think I'd tell the new room number to all of YOU? ) Those poor people who felt so lucky at getting my old room, would be calling security on you guys. No, no. I'm not going to skip the party anyway. I've got that Romanian wine, you know. Actually my homegrown wine is shaping up to be pretty yummy. I'll bring a small bottle just to share a taste with everyone too.

Sandy AKA Nervous Nellie !! You really have to go through with it now. I'll be even more crushed if we can't dock at CC. I've just got to see this. Maybe we'll bring along the video camera after all! Just don't throw up!!! (My friend actually confided in me (don't ask me why ) that when he did parasailing, the boat ride before hand made him so seasick, that when his turn came up, well... so did his breakfast. He said that no one even noticed, he was so high up. Yucky fishie food !!! Well, now everyone knows, since he told ME.) So, Sandy, my video camera has a really good zoom lens, just so you know. I'm so mean LOL. I don't know why my friends keep coming back. Sandy, it will be the greatest, coolest, most fun and exciting horror you've ever experienced! You will talk about it with excitement for years to come and recommend that everyone do it. You'll be so PROUD of yourself too! We'll all be proud of you! I'll scan a picture of you doing it for your computer wallpaper. (Now that I've got you determined not to tell me what time you go up)

Okay you all seem like smart people - so has anyone figured out how to do some kind of time warp thing so we only have a few more days til our cruise? I know it's getting closer, but I'm afraid this last month is going to go so slow. I do remember telling my Mom when we were 90 days out & that seems like yesterday. But please someone figure out the time warp thing!!!!

I told the girls teacher Friday about the trip. I couldn't really tell how she felt. We've had really good luck taking the girls out for vacations, but I think this year will be the hardest. Even though they will only miss 3 days ( i planned this around a teacher's workshop) I know their teacher is going to lay on the work. It's her style. She even sent homework on registration day & the kids were there only 45 minutes. I think I may have to do some extra volunteering at school to suck up to her.

Does anyone know if the ship will be decorated for Halloween while we are on?

Real funny, Lori. You told me that story about the guy and his breakfast and now I think I am more worried about that than actually going up. Time, did I say I have a time???? I am not telling ANYONE. I can't believe you used great, cool, fun and HORROR all in the same sentence.

Beth, if you can figure out the warp thing just let me know.

My daughter leaves for her 99.00 cruise in 9 days. That is all she talks about. I only wish I was going with her. If it wasn't for airfare DH and myself would be going too. Just couldn't fly 3 times in one year to Orlando. Seems silly!

Lori, I love that site that you recommended for a screensaver. It is absolutely the BEST! In fact, you should know the truth. It reduced my daughter and myself to tears. It will be the most frequented thing on my computer!

Our flight time just changed-10 mins later. I am not happy with USAirways at this point. If it gets any later I will not be happy. I want to be number 1 at Palo's again. I have the days schedule all mapped out on my Outlook calendar. Am I obsessing?

HIP HIP HOORAY Sandy! You go girl! I would never go parasailing. Thought about it on a trip to Mexico when I was a bit younger. Thankfully I got sick and had an excuse not to do it. I will bring my camera with the telephoto lens and get a good one. Will you eat breakfast that day?

That's right--you are my competition. We were first last time. I guess second or third won't be too bad. I know we won't be first on the ship this time. We were first for the spa believe it or not, too. We both went separate directions and met in the middle. This time no spa ressies.

I brought suitcases up from the basement today, bought laundry detergent in little disc form, and bought some 'evening' sandals.
Doing a little everyday will be my time-warp. Do we have any Rocky Horror Picture Show fans out there? "It's just a jump to the left"... ah-ha-haa-haaaa ...Madness... takes it's toll.
OK, flashback's over...

Should I pack ice tea mix, or is the tea at the beverage station cold? If hot, is it pre-brewed or hot water plus your choice of packet? I do like brewed ice tea if it's not a logistical hassle to make it.

My co-workers just smile & shake their head when I tell them about the excitement and preparation for this cruise. They think I'm nuts!

Bought my new underwear also the over the door shoe bag for all our toiletries. I read the suggestion somewhere on these boards and wish we had one last year as the self space is minimal.

Sandy I guess I will see you in the Palo's line before the sail-away get together. We want it all-High Tea, Brunch and Dinner. I have all the directions and times on the schedule Jeanne & Joyce to Spa/ BOnnie to Palo's etc... No wonder my co-workers think I'm nuts!

Lori: I don't remember Iced Tea at the beverage stations but it is hot water with individual tea bags. Different flavors as I remember.

Sandy: Did parasailing in Mexico where you take off from the beach and it was really fun and not scary at all. Once you get up there you get so interested in seeing the sites you forget what you are doing. Go for it

I am usually the crazy person when it comes to getting excited but Disney Dudette #1 alias Bonnie is really getting pretty excited and I think these "Boards" are responsible.

Bonnie has our itinerary all planned out - she is getting the ressies for Palos. Joyce & I head for the spa, etc. She is going to print out our "Daily Itinerary" too!!!!! She is such a PLANNER!

No Disney Dudette #3 yet. She always has an excuse for not being on the computer but we did both work yesterday and she works today.

Dudette#1, I need help planning my itinerary!!! I posted a thread earlier (but got no responses), on what to put on my generic itinerary, so that I know when to plan Palo's, etc., once I know my dinner rotation. Here's what I have so far. Everyone please fill in more if you know it. Thanks!

Sat. - DIS meet on Deck 10 @____pm, Sail-away party, casual
(should we meet a little earlier than actual sailaway, to talk before it gets super crowded at the rails? Does anyone plan on going to the DCL party after saying "Hi"?)

Sun. - Day at sea, 2pm wine party, Formal night, Captain's welcome cocktail reception, Hercules show


Mon. - At sea, casual


Tue. - St. Maarten, Tropical night/party


Wed. - AM Immigration, St. Thomas, casual, Mouseketeer show


Thurs. - Day at Sea, Semiformal Captains Gala, Disney Dreams show (matinee also)
