We just found out! It took 4 weeks. Now we have to wait on the next step.

It took me that long too, and I was getting nervous. I was told Disney sent it directly to the title co without the resale co knowing. I was also told I would have the closing papers last week & I didn't receive them yet. I don't know what to believe anymore.

Congratulations and Welcome Home!

We have to wait for another month for the title but all we can do it relax.

Title recording and receiving a copy of title policy can take awhile. FYI the title doesn't affect your ability to receive your points and make reservations.

I received my closing papers today from the title company! :worship: What is next?

From the title company or the escrow company? When you say received closing papers do you mean that that funds have been disbursed, escrow has closed and you received your closing statement? Did you receive instructions from your broker on how to contact Member Services?

ughhh still waiting... my first one was scuffed up by Disney in 10 days.... now waiting for the second one since 5/2 I was really counting on hearing yesterday... this is killing me... just let me know if I got it... the next step won't be as bad since I'll be worrying about where I am getting the cash:lmao:

From the Title Company. I now have to sign the Closing Documents & send back with a check.

Then you are waiting to close. Once you close, it will take another 10 days or so for your points to get in the system. Then you are done and can make your first reservation! If your seller gets their docs back quickly, you could be looking at another 10 days to 2 weeks wait. I know someone whose sellers haven't returned their closing docs that were sent 2 weeks ago!:scared1:

At this stage you are probably working with a escrow company. The title company will issue you a title policy a month or two after you close. Here is a idea on your time line:

You send back your check and documents and hope that the seller sends back their documents which sometimes takes awhile.

The escrow company should check with Disney to verify that nothing has changed with the sellers account.

The escrow company sends the required documents to Disney.

Disney creates a new account for you, you can see it on-line, points will be blank.

Disney enters your points into their system, you will see them on-line.

As soon as you see your points you can make reservations.

I have seen the above take from 10 days to three weeks depending if escrow has received the closing documents from the seller and if there are no problems with the sellers account with Disney.

Good luck and congratulations.:dance3:

Thank you disneynutz and Laxmom! Now I know what to expect...I'm so excited! :yay:

It seems like there is a disparity in the time the rofr clear. I wonder why? Does anyone know?

Disney has 30 days to exercise their ROFR. Depending on their work load I have seen it take 10 days and 30 days.
