I am still within my 10 recision for the Grand Californian points. I’d be sad to let them go but I’d do it to make a point for sure. I know they’d sell them in a minute I let them go but still..
You’re in a ten day window? I would call and make a HUGE fuss. No, I don’t like to do that if it can be avoided but you need help and nobody is helping.
 
Hmm according to this, you can actually call to talk to member administration https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/contracts-deeds/contact - I'm not clear if you meant you already tried and they won't talk to you.

Also, I am not clear exactly what stage this is at. Is your title company able to provide proof to you that your deed has been properly recorded in the Hawaii bureau of conveyances? I know this is a different topic here but it seems that the title company should be able to send that recorded deed to DVC. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/contracts-deeds/change-name
Option #2 now goes to MS sadly not MA. MA is email only. And I emailed originally 6 days ago.

Title gave me proof they sent the recorded deed and wired funds to Disney in January.
 

Yes. But title showed me proof that Disney received the wired funds so we know Disney received something. Just rather frustrating that MA is this elusive dept you can’t speak to and you have to rely on a middle man.
All part of their discouraging resale games i would imagine 😪 I'm sorry you are going through this and I hope it gets resolved quickly
 
Yep. I think I’m going to. This is not a normal situation, it’s not that I’m just antsy for points.
I feel you. I'm on the verge of just buying direct to get points and book while im waiting for this long process even though I'll miss the resale member discount.
 
So title company just called me and now is saying everything goes to Disney by MAIL not email. And the post office lost the documents and the check for dues.

Can you ask for postal tracking number, I would look it up, make sure post office didn't deliver, hold the title company accountable if it's their fault 😡

So a title company sent something by regular mail. Not even certified. Every correspondence I've had with a title company, for DVC or buying a home, has been overnight (FedEx, DHL, etc.). W...T....F. I would really start to ask for a partial refund on title fees.

Yes it does make more sense now why Disney would say they don't have it if it requires documents by mail. The processor for the title company didnt say that, Disney also didnt say that, they only mentioned email. I just hope all points are there and I dont have to pay late fees since the its past the due date for dues
 
In terms of late fees, I think you're OK. I bought a contract a year ago in January. I paid Mason who paid Disney for the 2024 MFs. This was wrapped up in late February 2024, after the final MF date. It was all fine.

I just wanted some help from Disney, there should be a way to talk to MA for extenuating circumstances, I felt like I was talking to the customer service of some fly by night company TBH. But I figured why Disney doesnt have it without calling my guide.

I'd definitely demand some concrete answers from the title company, this is unacceptable. There should have been some tracking. Hopefully you can get some real answers about what the title company plans to do to fix this - e.g. sending a new cheque and the deed immediately by overnight Fedex etc.

To be fair, vgcgroupie didn't know, at this point of her post, that Disney wasn't at fault, she thought that DVC had the deed.

I get that you are in a very frustrated state…. but on a resale purchase Disney has no control over anything unless they receive the documents….

Making a fuss, calling, or emailing Disney….. it won’t do anything to fix your issue and will just make you more frustrated.

The issue could only be with either the title company or with the delivery service.

I had not read further down when I made my response. I was just using Occam's razor.
