Rock N Roller Coaster vs. Revenge of the Mummy

RRC is just a straight ahead roller coaster with theming around it. Yes, the take-off is fast and there's an inversion, but the whole thing is over so fast that even if you're not enjoying, you know it'll all be over soon. RotM has some serious affects that I was completely unprepared for. Unless you have a specific problem with either the fast take-off or the corkscrew, you should be able to handle RRC just fine.

EE is my favorite roller coaster experience (when the Yeti's doing what he's paid for ;-) ...nice pacing of some pretty good coaster mixed some nice animatronics and effects.

First of all, let me just shout out a big thank you to EVERYONE who responded! It really does mean the world to me that you guys took the time out of your day to give me some confidence boosters and motivation to give it a try! I'm definitely gonna go for it this year....With a fastpass though. I don't think I could do it if I had to wait in the regular line, I mean I STILL have butterflies just thinking about it and while reading all of your responses. Hopefully the launch doesn't ruin it for me.

In my Great Grandmother experience, I think Revenge is the rougher of the two. I don't think you will have any problem with Rock N. One thing about Rock N, if you don't like it, it is over quickly.

This is the best note I've gotten about the ride. That really helps, thank you.

Those are my 2 favorite rides at each park. I think if you can handle The Mummy, you can definitely handle and like RnRC!! You only live once...give it a shot!! You won't regret it!!

I really need to start living by that...You rock for saying that and you definitely have the right mindset about things! I'm gonna go for it! :goodvibes

My opinion is quite a bit different from those posted already. I love The Mummy, but RNRC makes me sick. The Mummy is so tame, the thrill is really in the special effects of the ride. Rockin' Rollercoaster launches you out at a speed that makes me feel like I'm going to throw up every time I ride it. The rest of the ride is great, but I would still say it's much wilder than The Mummy (although it could be my perception is off after feeling like vomiting for 3 seconds). RNRC is the only ride that launches you quickly that makes me feel sick, maybe because it's inside?

I think that's the only thing I'm nervous about now...The Launch. :scared1:

On your honeymoon and looking for new things to try and we're talking about rollercoasters? What is happening to the youth of today?

:lmao:

It's as adventurous a place as any, ifyouknowwhatimean.

:rotfl2:

RobertR and nytimez, you two have made my day! :rotfl:The laughter is helping my nerves, so thanks for that too.

I like RnR and Mummy except that my DD did not warn me that MUMMY mists you TWICE in the face if you are sitting on the outer edge of the ride car. It kind of grossed me out. It was a direct shot to the face and I wasn't expecting it.

I was nervous the first time I rode RNR but it is so dark you really don't see the inversion coming so you kind of don't feel it until it is over. Nothing to be scared of.

I even (sort of, I bribed him) made my very scaredy DS10 ride RnR and he didn't freak out or get scared so anybody can do it if he can do it.

I rode Mummy once at USH a few years ago, I thought it was more like Dinosaur or Indiana Jones (DL)?
