Roaring forks breakfast

Is this any good ? We’re staying at contemporary so thought we might go over and eat here .if we do can we use our resort mugs ?

It’s fine - typical QS fare. You can use your refillable mugs. The resort boat launches aren’t running right now, so getting there will not be convenient

We love everything about WL and think the dining there is pretty terrific. That being said, Roaring Fork is perfectly fine, but it's just your typical CS food - nothing special. I certainly wouldn't go out of the way for it. If you are going to the trouble of getting over to the Lodge, I'd recommend Whispering Canyon for breakfast. The skillets are delicious, and the CM's are a hoot. As the PP noted, the boat between Contemporary, WL and the Fort hasn't been running since the shut down. Hopefully it will resume one day, but for now you'll need to walk over to MK and grab either a bus or boat there.

One other option is to figure out if Contemporary and WL are sharing any busses. When we were there last year in Oct and Dec they shared (I hope I'm remembering correctly) DS busses and maybe one other (AK???). If you can figure that out and which hotel gets picked up first, you might be able to snag a direct bus ride from the Contemporary to WL.

Or just do what we did and take a Lyft. Thinking that much on vacation is hard for us .

I agree with Pens Fan if you want to go to WL would make an ADR for Whispering Canyon it is one of our favorite breakfasts on property. Usually when we visit is every few years around Thanksgiving we were just there this past one and get a first time of the day it is not usually crowded then but don’t know if they allow walk ups.

I too, agree with the above. If you are making a trip to the WL just for the Roaring Forks breakfast, don't. It's basically the same QSR breakfast food they serve at all the resorts. And yes, you can bring your mugs to any Disney resort for refills. Whispering Canyon is fun and is sit down, I'd make a trip for that or go to Geyser Point for lunch or dinner. But not just for Roaring Fork.

In dec, my wife really enjoyed the bannans foster french toast and I enjoyed the ranger hash at Roaring Fork. (Only place at WDW I think?)

I would definitely recommend Geyser Point. It's a covered outside bar/restaurant down by the lake. Great burgers and they do have a drink refill station right outside of it near the food pick up window. If you go in the evening, you get a great view of the Electric Water Pageant. The WL is beautiful (my favorite resort, be there in August). Depending on when you go, rumor has it that the boat between the CR/WL/FW may start running when the Hoop Dee Doo starts back up. Rumor only! Fingers crossed it's true!
