I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Last year around this time, we were anxiously awaiting the release of ROL dining packages in anticipation of the show opening on Earth Day. I had an August WDW trip planned (which subsequently got cancelled) and was worried because I was due to leave on a cruise and afraid I'd miss the release of dining packages. Now, a year later, I'm due to leave on a cruise in two days, have a WDW trip planned for September, and am still waiting for these &%*# ROL dining packages to be released.

You should be pretty safe to enjoy your cruise @Maggie'sMom and not need to be concerned about September dining pkgs being released. They seem to be releasing them 2 months before travel so for us September peeps I'm guessing they won't open until June or July.

There are lots of people who are able to book RoL Dining Packages right now! It was bumped because of them and soon it will be for more of us as our trips get closer too.

I'm (pretty sure) you're right. It's just frustrating because I have every other ADR booked and am still checking every day to see if anything more has been released.

They seem to be releasing a month at a time so you and I have a long wait in front of us. The good news is that people seem to be keeping this post updated so hopefully you'll hear it here when new dates are released. I have this thread on an 'email notification' to keep up on the latest and greatest about RoL dining packages.

I'm waiting too but in reality am hoping I can book a RoL FP as I've heard there is more seating in that area so will choose the FP over the dining pkg and just keep my Tusker House as a regular dinner.

I remember our Spring Break trip last year to Disney and Universal. Every morning I would wake up and check for me and some friends. Now, I will be booking my Pandora FP+ during our Memorial Day weekend Universal trip. Oh the irony

There aren't any actual groups that are waiting, we're all just hanging out around this thread as new releases will probably be announced here as people notice RoL dining packages are opened up.

Between the first "waiting" that I did for ROL last year...to no avail.. and the waiting I'm having to do now for a September dining package....I'm starting to think that all this ROL stuff is a figment of my imagination (no reference to any EPCOT character inferred.) Someday it may be a reality, but for now....it's a Disney Fantasy for me!!

Thanks. I have another question. I hope its not repeating. How do you book a ROL dining package? will there be an option for it in the dining section of the mde app?

Yes, you can see it under the dining options now listed as the 'Rivers of Light Dining Package.' Reservations are currently being accepted for dates up to and including June 30th. I'm hoping they add a July on Sat as that's April 1st but that's purely my wish.
